Questions & Answers

What color would go well with unbleached muslin in this light sand hue?

All of my sewing is done with a shade of sand and very light gray. (Dove). Neither of the colors is overtly dominant. I stitch with a matching color if I do top stitching.

This is #2000 if you're looking for Recent changes to the names of all Aurifil's colors, however, have not affected the color numbers
5/5

The only thing I wish sellers on Amazon who offer Aurifil would do is to include the thread number in the title to prevent confusion created by the change of name. Here are some examples. As the thread title says, it's "light sand", but it was called "beige" in the past. The old names are still used by some sellers, while the new ones are used by others. This color is yet to be listed as Now let's take a look at it. During the past few days, how many times have you carefully measured your fabric pieces before sewing them together, used a quarter-inch foot on your machine and slowly stitched the pieces together so that they form a block. Do you remember when you followed the instructions and realized that your block was smaller than expected? The fact that I couldn't sew was the most frustrating thing about quilting for me. It got to the point where I took my blocks to various instructors to troubleshoot. Aurifil 50 wt thread was the thread I discovered during that time. Until I saw how important a thread can be, I never knew the difference it Yet, it is a good idea to take it into consideration. When the thread used in sewing is almost the same size as the thread woven into the fabric, the seams bury themselves into the fabric and take up less space. Putting the sewing machine to good use every time. Now, run a length of chain store thread through your fingertips and notice the lumps. As far as I can tell, Aurifil thread is lump-free. It is scorched and left silky smooth in the manufacturing process, so they can reduce the lumps. It is without a doubt the best thread you can use to piece. Due to its fine nature, if stitching garments, the thread is certainly strong enough to hold seams together, but it's a bit tricky to gather. Therefore, you should not get rid of your poly/cotton threads as they are still useful for garment sewing. The only thread I use on my quilts is Aurifil!
As a side note, this color is the only one that's gold in Aurifil's palette This is a natural process. The dyes have not been added. As the cotton is dyed, this is the color it will have. This color blends in well with almost any light to medium hue. Whenever I piece, this is the color I choose most often.

I like this thread very much
5/5

In the past, I was unsure if I should spend the money on I was wrong, but boy was I wrong. I'm so glad I gave it a try! When quilted, it looks great! It glides through machines without a hitch and on quilts it looks amazing! As far as I can recall, I have never had a thread break during sewing. Quilting with a machine is revolutionary! I love it. It comes off at the bottom, exposing the loose threading at the start. It can be turned off if you don't want to see it.

You're the best
5/5

It is my favorite color to wear neutrals. The only thread I use when quilting is Aurifil thread, which I recently changed from white to 2000 color after seeing a video by Fat Quarter Shop recommending it. As if it didn't exist, it fades away Additionally, I rarely have any problems with it breaking like some others. The needle is changed quite frequently, so maybe that's why it works. This thread was used in the photo I submitted of the quilt. With such a dark fabric, it doesn't really show.

Usually does not tangle
5/5

Aurifil 50 wt thread has become a staple item in my stash over the years. I love that it does not tangle and leaves little lint in comparison to other This means fewer messes to clean under the feed dogs after a big project. I am a quilter, so I do a lot of machine piecing, but I do not sew clothes.

The thread I'm using is wonderful for my machine
5/5

This brand is the only one I use There is a cross wound thread so I will need to use a thread stand, but I am not bothered by this. This product isn't as fuzzy as a lot of brands, so I don't need to clean it as often.
