Would a 13 year old boy benefit from this? I had seen that some woodburning tools get extremely hot to handle, so I was wondering if it got hot too?

It was very disappointing to receive The set appears to be comprehensive, with numerous accessories and pieces to choose from, but there is no manual. The temperature at which I should set the solder tool for wood burning is completely beyond me. I did not find any instructions on how to use the attachments, and believe me, there are a lot. It was necessary to increase the stove temperature to 900 degrees to get the dot of wood to burn. It appears that videos of drawing show quick results, but by the time this thing burns out, I'll be sitting there for about It also gets hot when using the tool. In spite of the gloves they supply, I am unable to do much drawing - it gets so hot that I have to hold it up so far that I am unable to control my pen It can be seen that part of the solder wire, which should be coiled up and contained in a little tube that resembles a vial, had been stretched out and thrown in the bag. Get one that comes with instructions and at the very least describes how to use the different tools so you do not have to waste your money on this.

The item is for my daughter who is using it for the very first time. Easy to use and good quality is what this product offers. She only had a few issues with the instructions being unclear however, she still managed to figure it out quickly. If there is a chance that my family members want to buy from me again.

I strongly advise you not to buy! My cord came out of the burn I was almost shocked I only used it twice for no longer than 10 minutes at a time very unsafe product I won't bother returning it I don't want another one I have emailed the company to see if they can fix the problem

This is a wood burner I bought when I was a beginner. The soldering iron can be used as well. It was great having a temperature control with LED lights! The kit comes with everything you will need to burn wood and solder. The container makes it easy to carry around.
