This is a really nice box! I feel weird leaving a review on a wooden box, but it's really nice! In addition, a lot of effort is put into securing it, and when it arrives at the destination it is well packaged and unharmed by the journey. We have shipped it a few times now and it still looks as good as when we first sent it out. I like how well it took the stain and how easy it was to wood burn. br>All in all, I will be returning to purchases of wooden boxes of a reasonable size in the future.
It's made of pine. As a result of the false advertising, I decreased the rating to three stars. In the original The price is not to be beat for this product. The wood on the box is thicker than other boxes, so it is sturdy enough. It was possible to create the turquoise inlay on this piece using a Dremel, crushed turquoise, and.
Box sides are well built, but the bottom (where the most pressure is placed) is made from SUPER THIN wood that is only glued to the sides of the box. A very light weight will definitely cause the bottom to fall out. The situation is so complex that it is difficult to reinforce. The waste of time and money.
There is plenty of space in this I will be giving the kit a light sanding to even it out and make those things less noticeable. The package arrived with one corner slightly dented and the lid attached a fraction off center, but this will be fixed with a light sanding. After I stain it, I will know how it stains, but it looks as though it will work well. The wood and construction of the box are definitely superior to those of similar boxes I have encountered.
My jaw dropped when I saw the price, because usually 30 bucks will get you a lot. I like the hardware on this it is properly screwed in. There is one dark spot on the inside. Wood is blemish-free except for that one spot. This is a good candidate for wet sanding and finishing.
It is sometimes good to keep things simple and inexpensive.
