They resemble a sucker stick in appearance.
I'm not sure, but I believe it's pine, albeit not of the highest quality.
It'll work for shish kabobs, but it'll be too thin for a medium/large quantity. With a small amount, it might be possible to get it to work. They're only an eighth of an inch thick. Your best bet might be 1/4 inch.

They did an excellent job. Someone had inquired about how they compared to a pencil, so I included a couple of comparison photos. They're about the size of a lollipop stick, in my opinion.
This was purchased for a variety of upcoming projects that I will be working on. I got it about an hour ago and immediately began counting it. It was advertised as 100 pieces, but I only got 87 (I triple-checked). Now, I'm not sure if they charge by weight or if I just got a used return item, but if they said 100pcs, I should get 100pcs, right? br>Next, I measured it, and it's about 1/4" shorter than the advertised 12" (as evidenced by the photos). The diameter, on the other hand, was spot on. br>Then I looked at the rods themselves, and I noticed that some of them weren't perfectly straight. You can see how they don't line up perfectly straight in the photos I posted of them lined up next to the ruler. br>The only thing I like about it is how smooth the rods are. br>br>Overall, I was dissatisfied with this purchase and will most likely not buy from them again.
I would recommend this product because it is very effective.
At a cost of ten cents each, this is a great deal. What's the worst that could happen? These have been turned to slightly smaller than 1/4" and have a slightly inconsistent circular shape. They are usable for my purposes, but I would have preferred them to be the size advertised. Just keep in mind that they're a little less precise than 1'4". I'm thinking of soaking one in water overnight and seeing how much it swells up.
He created a model of his room, which he was able to use to construct his hamster cage. As a result, he was able to cut them with scissors with ease, and the ends were not too rough to use. As a result, these are ideal for crafting. I'm not sure what else I could use it for.
These dowels are smooth and appear to be as strong as a 1/8-inch piece can be. The issue is that they are only 11 3/4 inches long instead of 12 inches. While this may appear to be a minor distinction, it can make a significant difference if you require the full 12 inches for your project.
They're about 2mm in diameter. They were supposed to be used to form leather "fingers" on an Alien Facehugger mask, but they're useless now. br>br>They're fine as dowels, but they're far too small. I'd say it's closer to 1/16th than 1/8th in English measurement. I have a set of thicker cooking skewers.
They're not straight at all! These are inferior to the skewer sticks available at the store. They weren't straight, so we couldn't use them for our class project. When you spend your own money on classroom supplies and don't get what you need, it's a letdown.
