Getting this wood burner was my first experience with a wood burner, and I was very excited to have Having watched a number of videos, I couldn't wait to get started. I've worked on all sorts of crafts before so I was ready to dive in. This set was nice so I did not skimp and ordered it. The product looked great right out of the box, but I was a bit disappointed that no explanation was provided of the different tips and what a user would most likely do with them. needed to search on different internet sites for information about how to use them. My goal was to make a beautiful game board out of cherry wood so, of course, I didn't want to mess this I had to go over and over again in order to get a grove while working on the project. No matter what setting was in place, it did not heat up enough. When the burner was burning, I observed that smoke emanated from it, but mine had no such effect. Because of this, I did not get the smooth look I desired.

Stunning kit. I love it. To make a cosplay piece, I had to carve and burn a few small bits of wood with a little carved piece hanging down. In addition to my costume's leather, I needed to apply some branding to it, so this wood burning kit was ideal for the job. I received the instructions in my email the same day the order arrived, so the claim that instructions are not included is false. My grandson is 10 years old, so I bought this for him. As a result of reading reviews, I picked this set, essentially because it came with a nice case compared to a couple of other sets I looked at. We had to watch youtube videos since the kit doesn't contain instructions! My grandson and I sat down and watched videos to figure it out! It is therefore completely useless for a beginner who wants to start after reading just the instructions. I love the appearance of the storage box. Despite this, the tips won't stay in place and the heat unit is basically impossible to replace. I would not recommend purchasing anything, and I highly doubt that I would ever do so. In the end, I went to Michaels and purchased a wood burning kit that clearly included instructions, as well as a plastic case in which to store the heat unit.

It's not the first time I bought something like this, but this is one of the most impressive. Since I got the kit six months ago, I haven't used it yet. I bought it on sale a while back, but didn't It would have been nice to have it right now. When a company sells a product like this, they breach consumer fraud laws. Here are the reasons The attachments are of different colors and are of different kinds, one set is silver and the other is brass. It was the same diameter of the thread on the brass colored attachments but the burner would not take them. As I examined the threads more closely, I noticed there were differences which is not uncommon and is usually the reason that a nut cannot be threaded onto a bolt. In the end, I tried a few of the silver colored attachments, and they threaded in, but came loose after being used for a short period. The bottom line is, this product is not functional, and in my opinion, it should have been on sale and dumped because the company had been aware it didn't work. There should be no excuse for this behavior! The opportunity to write reviews gives us, the consumers, the power to stop companies from selling inferior or unreliable products. I must admit, as much as I dislike Amazon, the ability to be able to do these reviews makes me believe they are more beneficial than anything else I've seen. Products that meet a specific need.
