Questions & Answers

Many similar burners, such as wallnut hollow, weller and others, have been in my possession. There are threads that break inside each one of these pens. How long will they last?

A total of all soldering will be done Typically, brass is used on the tips of wood burners made from iron since it allows for excellent There are a few downsides to this It is easy to bend when hot brass since it is a soft metal. The trade-off with this technology is that it is more expensive. While on the one hand the tips are simple and easily replaceable, on the other hand you must be very careful not to put too much pressure on them at 30W. Always remember, that it is not a good idea to press too hard on the tip - switch to a higher setting instead, or if any high setting is already set - then press gently on it. Don't go so fast.
However you want to look at it We apologize for the inconvenience - if you have any future issues with our product please contact us Let me know how I can help you at [email protected] and I will do everything in my power to keep you satisfied, even if it's something that doesn't relate to our products. If you need to be back on your project, we'll do everything we can to assist.

What is the point of leaving the tips out?

Let me ask you one more question What are your tips made of? Are they purchased separately or with the tips themselves? I have tips that screw into the pen, so you have to wait until it reaches room temperature before changing them. By changing tips with a pliers, you are more likely to damage the pliers and/or pen because metal expands as it is heated and becomes more pliable, which would result in changes to the tip and/or It is possible that different companies made the tips larger/smaller than your pen if you bought the set separately. The same item may not be compatible with every machine, even if it is "universal". This is what I hope

How does the extra 14 tips add up to the 35-tip collection The tip set versus the 21-tip set Can you provide me with some tips? If the extra $5 is worth it, I would appreciate it if you could clarify. Thanks a lot! ?

Cheaper sets will have a shorter life since the tips will wear out much You're just getting a few

I found this pen to be very useful in my business
5/5

In the past several years, I've become interested in wood burning out of curiosity, and bought the least expensive wood burning pen I could find in my local craft store. I initially used it well enough, but as I began to get into it more and received more requests for my work, I wanted to take it to the next level. As of now, I mainly do pet portraits which are burned and painted with a paint wash, and this is perfectly sufficient for my needs. don't use a great variety of tips, generally only 3 or 4, but I've found that those I have used work well and that I can switch them The two heat settings are convenient, and I have more control over the grip thanks to the two heat settings. The idea of purchasing a second pen so I have a backup and can use different tips without having to wait for it to cool off is even occurring to me. Someone who is just getting their feet wet in wood burning should definitely consider this book.

I was unable to use the tip after the first fifteen minutes
3/5

A screw-driver can be found on one of the screws Within 15 minutes of ever having used this pen, the inside tip detached from the top and the pen is no longer usable since it is stuck, and other tips cannot be used to replace it. If I received a faulty product, then the item is either very cheaply crafted or poorly made. The pen is not as good as my old pyrography pen, which I purchased as a replacement for my older, cheaper pen.

Wood burning is a great introduction to the craft
5/5

Pyrography is a relatively new concept to me, so I decided to put it to the test. Getting to know the tools is a blast. Found this set on eBay and have been enjoying it so far. My new hobby has been going well so far. I have been using the tool for about two days now. Here are a couple of samples I did as practice. Since you have to hold the handle so far back from the body, it takes a bit of getting used to. I understand why so many people recommend wearing There can be a fair amount of heat released by the metal. The pros are The entry tool should not be too costly I am able to get reasonable results with this model and I can see that I can get good results The cons are Details lines are a bit harder to differentiate from the grip when it's closer to the tip (as opposed to being closer to the tip It is found on more expensive models), but I am sure it can be overcome with practice I have found that the tips often become loose when they are being used Time to heat up does not seem to be a big deal, time to cool down pisses me off This process of changing out the tips (so they can be changed out) is a bit long, but what if I get creative with planning (or how can I make it work using only is not too much of a downside either. Getting over the mental barrier just requires a simple change of attitude This set of "I must have it now" is for you. On the whole, with three out of five With 4 sessions under my belt, I'm extremely happy with the outcome. A little concerned that this product may be used as a gateway into more expensive products. My plans for upgrading are easily envisioned in the upcoming months I can then pass on the benefits of this model to my daughters. While I wait for that, I will work on honing my shading skills.

This is a pretty good product
4/5

I am a novice in wood burning, and I got this product. For beginners, this would be a great choice. My first observation was that some of the tips were scattered in the package. There is a problem with the packaging, but it's not serious. It contains a lot of useful tips, and the instructions are flexible and helpful. As long as you follow the instructions following to the letter, you should not have any problems. I see people complaining about how the tip has melted and is crooked, and I guarantee you those people did not heed the warning and waited until it was completely cool before removing Additionally, it comes with a one-year warranty, which is a huge plus. In addition, the tips tend to come loose quite often, which means I have to take pliers and screw them back on after each use. In addition, the handle gets very hot, so those things might need to be looked at by this manufacturer.
Overall I gave it 4 stars since the price is really high for the quality, and the tips need to be unscrewed (but you do get a lot of tips, so that's good). Though I haven't used it for more than a half hour, I will update this when I am able to use it for a longer period of time.

The junk is Chinese made and of poor quality
3/5

It has one redeeming feature, which is that it heats up quickly, but it isn't worth the price. There are wires visible both in the shaft as well as at the end of the blade. At first glance, it appears that there is heavy duty rubber reinforcement to guard the cord from kinks and damage, but closer inspection reveals that it is actually just a hollow plastic piece with loose wires inside. I am confident that with a good tug the wires will be released! In my opinion, anything that has to come with so many warnings about being careful with the tips is probably flawed in some way. A warning about this is on the Amazon listing, in the instructions, and I even received an email from the company regarding the issue. They might not have had so many issues with tips breaking off if they had used better quality materials when making the tips. One of the things I had on hand was a pyro-cracker made of walnut hollow I have had a pen for over 15 years and I regularly did things contrary to the rules (removing tips while hot, using pliers not to break tips, etc) and I have never broken It is the cheap materials that cause the problem. When I turned on the high/30w setting for the first time, smoke came out of the opening in the shaft for a few minutes, probably former Despite its light weight and comfortability, I would think it would be fine for the occasional user. However, I would like something a little more durable.

The system works as expected
5/5

This is the first stage of the program I bought I purchased a Woodburning kit from TRUArt as a way to get started on a hobby I had thought of doing for many many years and to spruce up my My choice of the TRUArt kit was influenced by watching and reading many video clips about "How to woodburn" and the different types of woodburning pens. My order was delivered 3 days after the order was placed. There were all the tips, the pen, and a metal letter stencil in a durable plastic case. Plugging the pen in and getting busy after reading the instructions was a breeze. The universal tip was drew on pine with the universal tip. The burning temperature of the pen took two minutes to reach full. The temperature of the pen tends to decrease for about 10 seconds and then re-heat to the set value while drawing lines. It is normal for this to happen. In the instructions, it was mentioned that the tips would loosen up a bit If the tip needs to be tightened, I would use pliers to gently tighten it. In the meantime, the tip would remain tight. There is good insulation in the pen. The handle did not experience any heat transfer. It has been 5 days since I received this pen and I would estimate I have used it for about 20 hours. There were no problems I encountered, other than the loosening of the tips. For a beginner, it is a really good purchase to buy the TRUArt kit.
