Questions & Answers
Because I assume you already know how to spin, I believe your question relates to the spindle's quality. The design is appealing to me. An extremely long shaft and good balance make this a great golf club. The first time I put it on a knoddy, I could spin a lot. As well as being strong, it is also intelligent. There have been a number of wears on the jacket and at least 10 drops when the yarn was too thin and tight, and it has not broken.
There are six holes on the shaft, corresponding to a 1/4-inch diameter. An image taken with a 35mm lens

My preference is to have the spindle with the disk at the end opposite the hook. It works great, is sturdy, and a wonderful price.
With its nice weight, it is definitely up to the task when it comes to hand spinning my angora fibers.
After arriving with a broken hook, I fixed it on the spot. One of the dowels used to make it was cracked.
The weight is good and the balance is nice. A bottom whorl drop spindle is the best option when there are few of them available.
It is well worth mentioning that while I am incompetent when it comes to spinning fabrics, my wife simply loves it. Besides being a pleasant surprise, she enjoys the weight and size of it as well as the adjustability of the whorl.
It is not too heavy nor too light, finish is smooth, and it is extremely well built.
The product is very sturdy, easy to use, and is very clean.
