Product Description

Plying with the Ashford Vertical Lazy Kate is a breeze. This untensioned lazy kate is economical, but performs well. You can wind yarn off your bobbin with this tool.

The bobbin holder can accommodate three standard, 90mm Ashford bobbins, or two jumbo Ashford

Eleven and a quarter inches in height. Five and a quarter inches by seven and three quarters. There is a 4 5/8 inch space between uprights.

About 1/8 inch is the diameter of the Lazy Kate rods. As long as your bobbins are not too long or too wide, and have 1/4 inch bushings, these will fit as long as your bobbins are not too long or too wide. Ashford bushings are also 1/4 inches wide.

If you want to use the Ashford Vertical Lazy Kate with other bobbins and bobbin size, as well as the amount of bobbins you want to fit in the lazy kate, that will depend on the size and number of bobbins you have. There is a distance of 4 5/8 inches between the uprights. As long as your bobbins are no larger than 4 5/8 in length, the following bobbins will fit. A maximum diameter of 5 1/4 inches should be used for two bobbins or a maximum diameter of 3 3/4 inches for three bobbins.

Spools are kept near the wheel while spinning when spares are needed. Though alignment of the rods through a spool full of yarn can sometimes be a hassle, this is generally a very useful item to have for.
