Dear Amanda, I wish to let you know that this blending board is 108 TPI.
If you buy dowel rods in any size, you should be able to cut and sand them to the desired size. This may or may not be true! There is a slight roughness on the surface, which will catch Although it's been a while since I used mine, if you are looking for something to pick back the fibers, a metal knitting needle will do nicely.
Products made by Ashford are all made in New Zealand, and NZ Silver Beech is used in their construction.
Keel that can be adjusted in position. Unless you plan on taking it on vacation, you can work on it on a table, on your lap, and even pack it up to take it with you. If you are working on a table, placing the keel in position one will result in a more comfortable angle. The blending board can be used on your lap by loosening the keel bolt a little, positioning the keel between your knees, and rotating the board into an angle that suits you.
