Questions & Answers

If the loom slides, or if it clamps and unlocks on both ends, how does it work?

Regardless of which end of the loom the yarn slips off, it will slip off. However, I was not satisfied with the loom itself. was unable to adjust it as small as I would have liked. There was no way the aluminum rods would stay in place in the smaller setting and would only fit in the outside

Is there a crochet hook included with this loom? Would you care to share what size they are?

There is no hook attached to it. No matter what type of yarn you use, you can use any size, or even smaller if you're using

Does this weaving loom have a length?

This is a 11 3/4 inch long thing. A variety of width adjustments are available 1" to 312"

Frustration is less likely to arise with a longer loom
5/5

In addition to being larger than the standard size available, it was well packaged and arrived in a timely manner. There are aluminum rods that have rounded ends that do not slide through the loom and are of good quality. Moreover, I like the easy way to do 100 plus rows, since you don't have to wrestle with the hair pin. You are able to create many pieces to complete before making the final product, as this lighter and easier to use blade has longer ends.

The item has been previously used and damaged
3/5

Because the hairpin lace tool arrived in a used condition, I'm quite upset at its condition, and I'm unfortunately not going to be able to use it effectively. The Susan Bates hairpin laces tool only works when the metal rods are very firmly held by the plastic cross bars. It might be a bit difficult to slide the rod into place with this tool, since the holes are said to be rather The previous owner who returned this item worked the holes in the item to make them looser and easier to slide in the bars. Due to this, the tool must have become wobbly and was returned. The tool I bought used and has damage, so I lost a few dollars. As it happens, I have to order it from somewhere else since Amazon is shipping used items as if they are It makes me so sad!.

A favorite hobby of mine is weaving hairpin lace
5/5

After having ankle surgery, I was finally able to complete my year-old project, which had been on and off for months - This hairpin lace loom is easy to use and won't fall apart. I'd like to add One-half of that. It is not an issue that the plastic pieces will fall off the metal poles since they fit so tightly. As for the downside, I already lost one piece of it, so I'll probably need to buy another one later. The Loom makes hairpin lace even easier. Unless you have attempted it, hairpin lace is very easy. Wouldn't it be great if I could find a better method of lace for broomsticks.

Despite their strength, these aren't as reliable as they once were
3/5

My fifth strand for a blanket is already bent and I'm on the fifth thread Some of the plastic end pieces are almost impossible to get on in some places (which is to some extent good because you want them to stay on during your project, but it is so hard to put them back on after you finish a row that you have to fuss awhile before you start another). My last loom had no issue taking finished stitches off in the middle of a project and I never did that with this one (and I'm not that tight of a crocheter, so this shouldn't be my stitches, since my old loom really didn't have this problem).

You should learn this if you want to advance in crochet
5/5

My great grandmother made a blanket and it had this stitch on it that I wanted to recreate. I've been trying to make hairpin lace for a while, and this was my first attempt. You get used to it after a while, but it's a little awkward at first. The blanket I'm making now will be made out of this. While the metal bends easily, its overall quality is good and it does what is supposed to do.

There is a missing instruction
3/5

The packaging for this item may be in perfect shape, but the top of the packaging, which contained illustrated instructions, has been torn off, so I am unable to tell if there is In what way is the crossbar used? Has it been given to me? There are no directions included, nor is there any plastic wrap to keep it all together and I'm unsure if there is any piece missing. What is pictured is how I received it. It came out of the cardboard with no instructions.

I am disappointed in the lace hairpin loom
3/5

I'm surprised at how disappointed I am with the product. It was advertised as an adjustable hairpin lace loom, but there was only one adjustment that There was only one hole in the middle and the poles stuck to that. As they fell through the other adjustment holes, which were bigger than the outside ones, they were stuck between the two. A minimum adjustment of 1" to a maximum adjustment of There is definitely something wrong here, either with the advertising or with the.

The loom is not the best
3/5

The hairpin lace loom is simple to make. There is no problem. One thing I do not like about the games is the holes where you need to place the pins. You can use the ones that clip close much more easily. There are a few holes that are too small on this one. They were very hard to get in, so I had to push VERY hard.
