They aren't, because the mat is flat on both sides.
The grid is 9''x12'' in size, and the mat is 9''x9'' in size. 5''x12. 5''.
Both sides are printed, with one side measuring in inches and the other in centimeters.
The 36 x 48 cutting mat is available in our store, but it is currently out of stock. We'll have to wait for Amazon to stock it. If you don't mind waiting, you can purchase a 36*48 cutting mat right away. There will be a gap between two smaller pads when they are fitted together. Thanks.

I'm a bag maker, quilter, and seamstress. For all of my projects, I require a sturdy cutting mat. I started looking for a new cutting mat after my old one became scarred from years of cutting fabric, leather, and other crafty stuff. I spent a lot of time researching and evaluating my options before deciding on the lion work. To be honest, I wasn't thrilled with this mat from the beginning, but returning it would have been a major hassle. The mat was never completely flat, and it still isn't. The real kicker, however, occurred in the last few weeks. All of my Christmas gifts are handmade. . . and the photo says it all. These are abrasions that will not heal. Yes, I could flip them over. . . and I'm probably going to do so. I'll just put up with it and keep using this mat, even though I'm sure it'll scar in the same way on the other side. But, if you're looking for a mat for your own needs, I recommend moving on and selecting a different one.
If all you need is a cutting surface, this is a good choice. You should double-check the numbers if you plan to use the scale. Mine goes from 16 to 18 in a short period of time. Where did 17 go?.
The mat's packaging clearly states "do not roll," but it is shipped rolled! br> I've been putting flat free weights on it for almost ten days; Approximately 100 pounds dispersed across the mat's worst parts. To keep things "even," I rotated them every few days. For a few days, I even flipped the mat over to put weight on the other side. It doesn't get much better than this. The more time the weights are removed, the worse the warping becomes. I'm really annoyed because I needed a large cutting mat for my table and this fit my budget, but to receive it rolled and have to wait over a week to use it and still not have a flat surface is a pain in the neck. br>The mat is a fantastic product; it is well-made, has a good weight, and is self-adhesive. The size is perfect and the healing is good for this price point, but why did they have to roll it for shipping? Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please find another.
As you can see, there are a variety of options available. This isn't the case at all. This mat was NOT shipped in a flat box, but rather folded up in a box, which irritates me greatly. I tried putting it in front of the fireplace to soften it up, but it didn't work. I'm not sure how I'm going to get this done. Very let down. Instead of waiting until summer to put it outside and warm up, I may send it back. Irrational.
It has lines on both sides, so it can be reversible if one side wears out, though one side is metric and the other is in inches. I'm glad I took a chance because it's a great rotary cutting mat for the price.
Cutting Mats that are fantastic. The level of excellence is incredible. The price is even better. I would highly recommend these mats to anyone, including family and friends, as well as quilters. I'd give them ten stars if I could, and I keep one in every room where I might need to cut something. It only took a day for the package to arrive. br>Mary Lou: Thank you so much for this product. br>.
This was great for cutting small but thick leather pieces. I bought these small cutting mats to see if I like this style of cutting mat before investing in a larger one. I've completed several cutting projects and only used one side of one of the cutting mats so far. It looks as if it hasn't been used in a long time. These might last me a few years of small project use at my current pace and work style. Punches and awls don't help it heal as quickly. Punctures don't heal as quickly as slices do.
Also, the price is unbeatable; there aren't many things of this quality available for this price nowadays. I highly recommend this product!.
