It says they are 3/8" in the description, but they do say 3/8" in the packaging. Please read before buying if you're buying for crafts. That's not happening! Only an eighth of an inch separates each stick. It is impossible, however, to produce them that look as good as the product pictures. These are finger jointed boards cut into slices, which create a weak spot that is unsightly. As planned, I planned to stain, or to leave the project natural with a clear coat. Paint is not something I wish to have on them, and I certainly don't want the finger joints to be weak points. 200 packed in a box were purchased. There are 10 bundles of paint sticks per shrink wrapper. The containers are made in China, are of good quality, and are sturdy enough to mix paint with. They are not yardstick parts left over from the construction. The graduations are printed in inches on the top side of the stick. In case you don't have mixing cups that have ratio information printed on them, this is an excellent option. The sticks have graduations on them, so you can measure out the amounts of paint you want to put in the hardening medium and or the reducing medium.

These were originally used for a painting project, but when I started painting them I noticed they had numbers on them. Basically they were yardsticks scraps that I had painted over. When you paint them, the numbers become visible, so unfortunately these are of no use for crafts.

I found these for the cheapest price yet, but they are of good quality. The measurement lines provide a good side benefit when compared with boxes of 100. I was buying boxes of 100 for almost the same price. Moreover, they are not rough, but smooth and sanded instead. The 10 packs come in a very nice package.
