It is most often used as a glue called Japan gold sizing, which can be purchased at any arts and crafts store that carries oil painting supplies, or a speedball Mona Lisa adhesive can also be used for this purpose. I think anything will work, but I'm being completely honest. Spray paint is also a good option, just make sure you wait a few seconds for it to get tacky before applying it.
A foil is a thin, thin sheet of paper that is easier to handle than If you want to wrap and bend this around stones and gems, you can't. As the foil is not bendable and will not hold a shape, it is made to be used along with a sizing, applied first the foil will attach to the sizing and remain standing up. It would be better to use something like 24 or 30 gauge soft sheet metal that bends around objects.

That was the worst product I have ever used! Don't buy it if you want to do some projects with it. I wanted to use it for some projects, but it was a complete waste of my time and money. I feel very uncomfortable handling it, as it breaks and tears when you don't even touch it. As soon as I opened the package, I found that half of the cards had been damaged. After I opened the packet and tried to open them, I found their flakes all over. Do not buy it , save your money even if you have to spend a few extra dollars.
Love the bargain - I have some waste or leftover in my process, so this package is affordable for me. Keeping the mixed waste in a container is what I do. In addition to gold sheets, silver sheets, and copper sheets, I have begun using gold, silver, and copper sheets to paint There's a slight difficulty separating the sheets since they are just in a loose pile, wrapped in a tidy wrapper.
When I went to my local Michael's I decided to make a painting and refused to pay $24 for 12 pieces. It's hard for me to judge how easy gold leaf is to apply, since I haven't used it before. The first few times I used it, I had troubles, but they became a lot easier after I got the hang of it.
When you put them on, the silver looks like foil, and they are difficult to put on at first. Even so, the gold and rose gold are absolutely stunning.
This method is very effective and you can get a lot of sheets from it.
The quality was also no better than the craft store I frequented, where I spent much more for a lot less. The material is thin and fragile, but that was to be expected, and it's no thinner (as far as I can see) than the other, much more expensive stuff I had in the past. Quite honestly, I'm not even sure I can tell the two brands apart. I am extremely happy with this purchase, and I'd definitely buy from them.
I like the effect on the clay and how it looks.
If you watch a YouTube video, do not attempt to use. It requires a certain level of expertise. I love this foil, it looks great and it is as thin as a It is not my fault I cannot use my skills up to snuff, but even so you can enjoy it.
