The product is good, but it seems a bit tricky/difficult to use and apply to the desired surface, as stated elsewhere. A black canvas and gessoed panels were a good way to use it. Of course, you can use more pressure to secure the product to the adhesive on the hard surface of the gessoed panels since they are firm and the adhesive is easier to adhere. I was able to create the piece above with it on the canvas, but it did not work as well on the paper. With the Crow with Berries, I employed both gold and silver leaf, and also allowed the gold leaf to separate and provide its own background design. In addition to applying several coats of spray varnish to the canvas, where adhering was a little more difficult, I used sealant to seal the metallic leafing. Depending on where the sheets of leaf end up, it can be tricky to raise and move them to the desired area. It took me two watercolor brushes and a stencil brush to get the sheets off the tissue and onto my painting surface.
