Presented in white, the balls have defects in that they are not perfectly round. When the balls are cut in half, some crumbing may occur, but not enough where they are not usable.
You cut them in half with a knife if they're hard foam balls

Foam balls 4 inches in diameter were perfect for my mom's 70th birthday centerpieces. It was so hard to find these size balls in the store and so many of them. It was a pleasure to have them arrive on time. Decorated around a centerpiece, which was the star of the show. There were many comments about how pretty the girls were. Once I had the centerpiece, I used it as decor for my house.
It was a reasonable price, but there were some balls that looked misshaped. However, they worked well for what they were designed.
The foam balls are a good alternative to celebratory "kissing balls" but don't add much to a good time. They will be a great help to us in some other creative.
We used this for Minnie Mouse centerpieces, but when we applied glue adhesive for the glitter, the foam balls started to shrink and sink into the glue.
The price was good and they worked out really well. The product I purchased was exactly what I wanted.
My center piece decorations for my wedding reception are the perfect size. Cuts well and is easy to use. I like this value a lot.
