Depending on what you are planning to use them for, the cost will vary. A few hairs at the end of the sharp blade can help fine fabrics (such as silk) stay smooth on your hands when cutting. If your material is heavier, such as leather or upholstery, you should use a blunt tip.

The Ginger is something else, I don't think they even came in the Ginger box; my guess is they were found at a wall concept that you could throw around. In fact, Ginger blade holster comes with all of them.
My most recent use was on a Himalaya fleece which worked just fine. In addition to performing well against slippery fabrics, they are also excellent on a wide range of surfaces. Our ultimate goal is to try and hold up over time using them mostly on the left side of the board.

There are some excellent scissors in these. When I first started sewing I could only hope that many would have been available years ago. Among all the fabrics I tested, all of them were easily cut and neatly formed. (The only fabric slipped out was silks, silks, lining, micro polyester knits and synthetic lining fabrics), they are low-weight and very light. They are relatively inexpensive and have an adjustable screw instead of a rivet, they feel very comfortable in the glove compartment, and they have hard plastic blade protectors as well. Wash your blade one at a time using a soft, clean cloth, made of cotton or flannel. Make sure you do not add too much pressure to the cleaners since they are extremely sharp. When you reach the top of the blades, begin by touching the pivot point. Due to fibrous/lint fibres remaining on the blades that accumulate at the pivot point, wipe the blades often (I did not know this until I read in a quilt book). A product of excellent quality, a reasonable price, very effective and beautifully made. They are both excellent quality and the Gingher scissors are of the highest standard. I highly recommend them. (I also highly wish the gingher line of scissors remained good for a long period of time).
These forged shears are of the highest quality and made by the most prestigious name in Italy. As dressmakers shears, we've turned them into paper and yardstick as well as sloth materials with regard to the crafting of paper and the like. My wife and I both love our watches, built very carefully. Although the designs are made carefully, these watches last a lifetime. If you know how tosharpen them, you can resharpen them quickly.
The only set you should get for cutting cloth right now is your standard one. I will make sure I keep these with me as a precaution to prevent their destruction.

It seems like Gingher scissors are the best on the market according to me. In my current position, I manage a large university's costume shop. They're sold as our fabric shears at our store. When students try out good scissors for the first time, they feel amazed by the quality. Their prices on Amazon are just as good as that found on the school discount page. I used to wait until the discount order form was completed before purchasing them on Amazon. In cases of dulling sharpness, the scissors can be sharpened to give them long-lasting properties.
Never again will I buy cheap scissors from a pharmacy.
