Since I've had it for 3 weeks, I have hardly used it. Although I cannot speak for all G12s, the one I have does not Neither one of them are square) and I don't know how to adjust them. As you pull the lever down, it appears to pull out of square between 1/16 and 3/32 inches as the dial moves forward to zero. When I cut a standard 11 by 8 sheet, I will get a result of 11 by A 5 by 5 inch paper is cut into half, and my finished product is 1/16 inch to 3/32 inch off at the top and perfect at the bottom. My goal is to be able to make a square cut, so I wish I knew how to square the blade.

Despite the fact that there is no guarantee this product works flawlessly, it is nonetheless a genuine one. There's no need to exert too much effort to get it done it accomplishes what it was intended to do with little effort. The lever-operated clamp is so much easier and faster to use than the hand crank one I used previously. When used, the paper fence has a silicone rubber insert on the underside, which prevents it from shifting. This fence can be removed readily to clean friction-inhibiting paper dust from the insert, and there is a release for the lever lock to prevent the blade from falling before one is ready. The lever lock is conveniently located on the front of the machine, so one can easily reach it. Plus a removable plastic guard that prevents fingers from getting in the When I was doing my work, I had to take off the plastic guard in order While the blade can be adjusted to ensure that it is parallel to the cutting pad, it takes a bit of skill to adjust it (still, it would be better than not adjusting it at all). There are a few things I am not happy with. In order to ensure that the fence clamp wouldn't slip on me, I would have to tighten it enough to noticeably depress the deck. Reinforcement under the deck would have greatly reduced the amount of pressure required to stabilize it as well as have increased friction under the fence, which would have reduced the need for pressure to stabilize it. In order to secure the fence to the deck, a hand knob on a screw thread is used to lock it in place. When I got tired of repeatedly cranking down that misbegotten knob and even crankier unwinding it (arthritis is the pits), I spent $50 on parts that would allow me to make an over-sized knock-off. I designed a lever lock with a cam action to secure the fence (the manufacturer could have done the same for probably less than $10). Even though it is over-indulged The new fence clamp lock is an easy product to use, as it is engineered (I had to use what I had on hand). The fence can be locked down by simply dropping the lever. There is a slick enamaled finish on the deck, which allows glossy papers to slide when the lever is pressed unless one has a really heavy grip on it. There would have been a lot of benefits to a less glossy surface on the deck. If the clamp had a larger surface area, it might have been able to reduce the amount of pressure needed to clamp. To see if a thin layer of silicone rubber will help, I plan on coating the deck and the paper clamp with silicone rubber. This blade will only lock all the way up if it is raised. The cutter should lock in the raised position and also when it is lowered, so the blade will not slide out of the base by accident when you move it. I will repeat that cutter is wicked sharp and it is safer to place it on top of the cutting pad rather than against it. Although I am disappointed about my complaints which cost the product a star (actually, it would have been a better rating if it had been 4 1/2 stars), I am very pleased with the product, especially after I added the fence locking lever that was needed.
The cutter I use now is a downgrade from the one I had a couple I spent about half as much on this as I did on my old one, but it I upgraded from the more expensive cutter to a great investment and a quality upgrade. The expensive one is too expensive. I wish I would have known about this one before spending the money on it.
