Questions & Answers

Do you know anyone who wants to cut glitter and vinyl heat transfers Is it possible to use a paper cutter to cut straight vinyl strips ?

With it, I've used 651 optical vinyl and masking paper to cut. The results were fantastic! If you want to get a very clean cut, you need to pull the lever handle towards the left (just a little) while you're pulling it down. Once the glue builds up, you may get some glue stains. When it comes to cleaning the blade, I just use rubbing alcohol.

The dimensions listed in the technical specifications are 21 by 21 by The product of 5 x 4 is 5. A scale of 8 x 4 inches is used. Are there any accurate dimensions available?

My trimmer, including the bolt protruding from the handle by the hinge, measures 26 inches long and 3 inches wide. A 75-square-foot area equals 4 square feet. Five x twenty seven eight inches.

The wood is shown to have a grid pattern. Does the wood surface have grooves that have been machined into it or is there just a printed pattern on it? Steve, thank you so much?

On the wood is a grid that was etched by machine. As you rub against it with your finger, you can feel the grooves.

Swingline ClassicCut Ingento Guillotine Trimmer, 24" Cut Length, 15 Sheet Capacity (11162) - what are the real dimensions? Do you need a lot of space?

There is a dimension of 24 along the blade side. The width of a five-inch shoe. Besides 25 inches, there is one more dimension. As of yet, I have not cut more than one sheet at a time (I use it for photographs), but I am very pleased with the device.

The product does not live up to its advertised quality
3/5

The paper cutters at office supply stores have all seemed flimsy and not durable. For quite a while, I've been looking for a good quality guillotine paper cutter. My initial reaction after reading the description and seeing the picture of this cutter led me to think it was the one I had Those from my school days many years ago brought back memories. I will send you a check for $219 as soon as I receive it. The 00 cutter, on the other hand, left me extremely disappointed. According to multiple places in the description, the table has a solid maple base and gives the office an earthy feel. As you can see in the photos, the base is plywood with veneer edges. While the blade and arm appear to be well made, there is a significant gap between the blade and the base, requiring some adjustment and/or considerable pressure while cutting (see pictures). The cutter has adjustment bolts (which were missing the protective cover shown in the photo), so this may be corrected by an adjustment, but you think quality control could have made better adjustments before releasing it as "quality". Though I will be particularly critical of the workmanship and the wooden base materials, after working with wood and cabinetry for many years, I value the way quality made wood products look and feel, whether they are In contrast to the description, there is neither a look nor a feel. The base doesn't feel solid, hefty or solid like a wooden one. As it turns out, I have no other option but to return this item since there don't appear to be many better options. However, it's disappointing that we have reduced our standards to a lower quality and that a company misrepresents products in this.

This is an amazing product for me
5/5

Before I tell you how I got started, let me explain. First of all, let me say I worked for 2 family owned office supply stores during my college years. I continued to do this for over nine As an art department manager and purchasing manager (before computers were widely used in offices), I was also responsible for it. For many years, I worked for a stationary manufacturer who had been in business since the 1940s. My dear, what a treasure trove of wisdom he has Brand names 30 years ago were not monopolies, so I mention all of this. One of Swingline's great assets has always been its financial stability. For years, I have used 42-inch guiottine cutters in my graphic arts classes and my dad's ancient green monster in the office at home. As well as cutting my own mats and illustration board, I assemble my own work. This is the closest you will get to heavy duty cutters like those used by professionals. I have owned products from Fiskars and Martha Stewart and they are very different. There are no errors in the measurements. The unit is made well with superior materials, so spend a little more and get a better product. A beautiful maple wood, it is smooth and beautiful. Don't let this opportunity pass you by!.

This is the best paper cutter I've ever used
5/5

For the first time, I just had to replace the spring in an older 12" model. I was amazed at how long that product lasted. In the meantime, I needed a new one, so I purchased this 15" model, and man o man, it is the same great product they have always made, with some improvements, just when I thought they couldn't get To some folks, it may seem a bit much, but go ahead and get yourself one of those plastic pieces of garbage and keep replacing it every 90 days or so. I'll pass this on to my grandkids. There is no doubt in my mind that this paper cutter is the best. This is Ron Tucker.

My factory error was corrected and I got a great result
3/5

It is built to a high standard. This is a very sturdy chair, and the metal arm is the difference between cheaper models and this one. For my review, I gave it three stars because the ruler at the top was crooked. In my opinion, the first thing I tried to do was cut a straight line, but it was unsuccessful. The wooden ruler/guide at its end flared out towards the top as I examined it more closely. Fix is not hard at all. This product was intended for cuts in a straight line, so I simply removed it, sanded, and now it is perfect. It is a shame I had to correct it myself, as it is a product that was designed to allow that.

This cutter is fantastic! What a wonderful idea
5/5

This knife was very sharp and cut You must hold the entire piece of paper straight so that you can cut straight. Many people have trouble cutting straight. With any guillotine cutter, you have to do this otherwise the bottom corner gets pulled out when you're The reason your cuts aren't straight is because of this. You don't need a degree in rocket science to do it. On the blade of this cutter, there is a metal ruler running the length of it. The paper stays flat near the blade when I use that to hold it down.

Don't buy it more than I was able to find a cutter online for my wife to use for crafting
5/5

There are no more words to describe how awesome this thing looks. I went directly to the sticker, and she commented very positively about it. There was a reminder on it for people that a certain amount of leftward pressure helps the process along. It seems everyone already knows that, she said. Defending her against unhealthy foods, I reminded her of the "don't eat" labels on some products. This is a great I believe it will last forever if she uses it for what she wants. It was more advantageous for me to buy a heavier, more durable one rather than a pressboard or plastic model that was cheaper. It is apparent to them when you are taking good.

It was a pleasure to receive the package so quickly
3/5

Though I was so delighted with the speedy delivery, my joy did not last long. Right away, I noticed that the markings on the ruler at the top were not aligned Also, I noted that the ruler seemed to be made of a soft wood that could be worn away over time. When I cut a 4 1/4" length from one sheet of 11" cardstock, the cut widened at the bottom, no matter how tightly I held it. Paper cutting is not a new skill to me, as I was a teacher by profession and I've been a card- and paper-crafter since I retired 15 years ago. In a test on five copies of copy paper, I used the Swingline and my trusty Dahle to make the same cut. Upon getting the Swingline back after an hour, I recognized the exact cut of the Dahle from its uneven, rough cut. I sent it back without delay. My only complaint is that there are no 1/4" and 1/8" markings on the ruler, and the grid has worn off twice. Maybe I got a lemon. But I'll continue to use the Dahe. Is there a really good guillotine cutter out there?.
