Upon purchase, the trimmer is equipped with all 3 blades. In order to use the blades, you must remove two of them before you do so. The blades should be freed of the round nut that holds them in place. It is a good idea to separate all the blades. The trimmer is ready to use after you put one blade on it and reinstall the guard and nut on the blade. Logan's website has an instructional video that is free to watch.

Logan Dust Cover Trimmers are the only dust collection tools I own. The Pen Tool is a wonderful tool, much more effective than the previous model A cutter is like that. It takes a long time for the blades in the package These reversible pillows last twice as long as traditional pillows. A Logan #270 is readily available on Amazon as a replacement blade.
A blade with number n is used.

For those who frame every so often, it will do the job. Otherwise, it is difficult to use, awkward, and not quite As a result, it is quite inhibiting to use since it has just one blade for left and right hand usage. The guard has to be taken off for every change of side. They could have fit two blades if they had extended the length of this tool by 1/16th of an inch. The two hands I use for writing- So I don't have to pick up and rotate the frame more frequently than is necessary. Each time I pick it back up, I feel like I am getting my finger too close to the blade because of the awkward form of this. As a result of this design, it can also blend in with other tools, making it easier for an accidental cut to occur when reaching for something else nearby. In my opinion, a plastic, bright red cutter with two blades at a time is the best. If the blades dull as a result of alternating hand use, remove the cover plates and swap where the blades are positioned in order to re-use the unused corner of each blade. In this manner, you can use each blade two times without having to swap blades as frequently. Due to some reason, Amazon does not stock this one. The traditional dust cover trimmer can be found by searching Google for "traditional dust cover trimmer". I can hold it with much more ease The lightness of the material makes it appealing. In contrast to the logan cutter, in which you must grasp its weird shape awkwardly to hold it, this cutter is lighter, feels much more natural to hold, and is more natural to select the angle. I feel like I am constantly going to drop it because of its heavy weight on the bottom. This looks and feels like something that was just fashioned out of scrap metal In the eyes of professionals, the biggest drawback to the Logan cutter is the length of the metal drop There is an error of 1/8" in the length. The blade will not reach the backing of most stacked frames with the metal in the way, so the cutter cannot cut the backing. Stackable frames can be cut with the red ones since they are shorter at the bottom. This design by Logan seems strange to me because it is so poorly thought-out and poorly executed Check out the Because I had to work on a stack of frames, when I first purchased it, I had to just hold a blade between my fingers (at an angle against the edge/corner of the frame) and proceed from there. It seems so absurd to me that even I have to laugh at this thing. Aaron Bros. and Michaels shops used the red plastic cutter as a standard tool.
For painters, this is a must-have utility. It makes it easy to mount your paintings on a proper backing paper. To have this done, even though I framed the paintings myself, I used to take them to the framing shop. In the old days, I used to do this at work. Now - It's easy Easy as pie. If you wish to back your backing with another item, you will need another item. It applies tape to the tape. "Scotch ATG 700 Adhesive Applicator" can be found on Google. A yellow unit with a Attaching the paper to the canvas is made easier with this technique. Double-check your work There are two sides to the I'm not talking about regular doubles I'm talking about One-sided tape isn't as good as two-sided tape.
The trimmer I'm using doesn't work well as I attempt to attach dust covers to the backs of my paintings. Whenever I trim the paper, the trimmer rips it, and even when it slices the paper, it leaves a lot of uncut areas. However, I cannot get it to work after following the instructions. The thing is so difficult to use that I am not sure how anyone could use it. A quick update In order to receive a refund on this item, I am returning it. watched the Logan video on how to use this device and I even tried to use it multiple times, but it will not work for me. This trimmer tears and tears the dust cover paper, and when it cuts, it does so in a random manner. I have decided that from now on I will glue my paper to the back of my paintings after cutting it first.
It would have been nice to have bought it earlier. Dust cover trimmers like the Logan Dust Cover Trimmer are great. It would have been nice to have bought it earlier. It is important for me to have my art look professional, so I do my own framing. The framing on my previous frames looked professional, and I think I did a really good job. In the past, I would have been forced to cut the paper to the exact size I needed and try to align it exactly where it should go. But with this tool, I can attach a paper dust cover quickly and professionally every time. I sometimes had to buckle the paper while trying to lay it flat so everything would fit perfectly. If that occurs, there is no way to correct it. In that case, I would either have to take it out and replace it with another piece or put up I can trim the paper quickly now that I have the trimmer, I cut the paper a bit larger than the frame, place the frame on the paper, and flip it over. We are fast, even, no queues, and professional every time we work with you. You'll be glad you made the investment. Without it I wouldn't be able to do my job!.
After years of practice, I am proud to say that I have come a long way with my framing. I began with wood glue, All aspects of my business have been upgraded. The paper is better, the glue tape is better, and now this tool is better. While it does what it's supposed to do, I don't see much advantage over a straight edge or.
The tool is useful to trim the excess paper from the dust blocking paper when mounting the paper on canvas' backs. Feels and looks hefty enough to be a genuine product ( harder and harder to find on Amazon these days ), making me less likely to cut myself, and leaving a perfect margin from the framed edges that looks great and gives a professional end result. This blade comes with an extra blade for ease of use. My extra blades were taped to the product packaging and slid into a drawer so I wouldn't slice my fingers and am easily able to find them when I need them.
In order to achieve a neater and more professional cut to backing paper, I ordered this product to be used on a first-time framing job. I returned it, as it was a heavy, metal, quality tool that didn't work the way that I had hoped. In my case, the back of the frame is only 1/2" wide and I used 1/2" ATG tape to secure the backing paper to it. In approximately 30 seconds, this dust cover trimmer can cut a dust cover. I had to remove glue and paper from the edge of the sheet about 1/8" from the edge. use 1/4" ATG tape, it seemed there was insufficient adhesive to hold the backing paper down. In addition to cutting the wood of the frame, the tool scores the wood as it goes. This disappointed me.
The job was completed with the help of a regular razor blade / knife to clean up the edge, remove the trimmings, and complete it. In this case, it would be ideal if each blade is a new replacement. If you cannot find such replacements, then maybe it will be much better to use a new blade for each project.
