I'm embarrassed to say that the "blade" (it's not really a blade) is terrible and it's not even lining It isn't worth the money! There are only a few reviews that aren't out there to get a better rating. They're all bad reviews. Quite a few aren't, but I assure you it isn't what you want. This is garbage from China.
If only the screws fitted the rubber footing, I would have given this product five stars. A screw doesn't reach the hole because it is too short. Overall, the board is very lightweight, the blade is very sharp, the measurements work well, and the board is It is important that you receive screws that are long enough when you purchase this. A new set of tiny screws had to be purchased to replace the damaged.
It is generally a good paper cutter for me. The problem with this is that I have to work with small pieces frequently. It is difficult to align a small piece because of the way the alignment bar and hold down work together. I have been pinched several times trying to align materials correctly when cutting them. In some cases, it is just impossible to use, resulting in a waste of materials. I've been stuck in many situations trying to align the material. I have never even received a cut due to the nature of my product.
It's a nice paper cutter that I use for cutting precise veneer cuts.
It works like a dream. However, the only exception to that is that the plastic handle doesn't lock in place, but is held in place mainly by friction and will come off if not firmly wedged.
For cards and papers, I use it to cut. I use it to cut vinyl, card stock, and paper. Its handle is comfortable to manipulate and it has an accurate cutting mechanism. It has a lot of safety features, as I have children who are using the craft room.
The reason I do this is that I don't waste vinyl, so I save a lot of money. Lines are true and sharp.
For the price, this is a great product.
