It varies by user, just like the other Cricut mats. I've had my Joy for over a year and make anywhere from 2 to 4 cups of coffee every day. Every month, I send out ten cards. I'm on my fifth mat as of right now. My friend and I both got one around the same time. She is only on her third mat and uses it a lot more.
The Cricut Joy card mat is designed specifically for creating cards and eliminates any guesswork. For non-slip grip, I purchased the standard grip mat. Vinyl projects that are smart.
No, it's just for the Joy cricut cartridge.
To do the 5, you'll need a different mat, 6x12, for the Joy. 5x12. If you don't have the 6x12, you'll have to buy it and adjust your cards. The four is what I use. 5x6. My cards are worth $25 each.

It doesn't stay sticky for very long, which is why it was $15 at first, then 599, and now it's back to $15. If you do get it, use a spray adhesive spray after about 7 to 10 uses, or it'll be useless returning money.
The concept of the mats is fantastic. However, only a few products will stick to them. I was taping cards to the mat after six cards, which was a huge letdown.
I'm disappointed that the mat loses its adhesive after about 6 cards, and I ended up messing up far too many cards as a result.
Pros:
- -br>-br>-br>-br>-br> able to use any material (that joy is capable of cutting)br>br>Cons:
- nonebr>(I wish they had something like this for their other machines! )br>br>Review: )br>br> If you own a Joy or are giving one to someone, you must have this mat. Personally, I prefer the larger machines, but I gave a Joy to my mother for her card-making, and I am envious of this small mat. It's ideal for anyone who wants to create cards--br>br> designed to allow you to cut a folded card without cutting through it or causing the other side to stick or bend from the mat. This accessory is a no-brainer because of its low price. Simply purchase it and you will not be disappointed! br>br>(By the way, you don't have to use Cricut material designed for this mat if you're curious. ) As long as the material you're using is cut to the right size - as well as being able to be slashed by the Joy- It'll work out).
Because I waited over a month to open the package (assuming everything was fine, and I didn't need the Light Grip Mat for a project until recently), I didn't realize I had received the wrong product. The Cricut Joy Standard Grip came packaged in a LightGrip mat for me! "Standard Grip" is written on the mat itself, which is green. " I'll keep it because I can use the Standard Grip Mats for other projects, but I'm disappointed that I received the incorrect product. ".
Because it's a Crcit Mat, it's exactly what you'd expect. My problem isn't with the mat itself, but rather with how Amazon chose to ship it. They usually don't mind wasting packaging (stuffing small items into large boxes), but when it came down to it, they bent the mat in half and stuffed it into an envelope. I tried flattening it out for a few hours under a heavy book, but it didn't help at all. It wouldn't go through the Cricut as is, but after bending it backwards a few times, it did. I've used it a few times now, and it still works even though it's bent.
This mat has the same level of stickiness as the larger mats. To clean it, wipe it down with a baby wipe, then scrape away any paper, vinyl, or cloth pieces with a scraper after each use. It's a little smaller than a standard 12 x 12", but it's just right for the Joy. One or two spares should always be kept on hand.
My Cricut mats are well-cared for and last a long time, but not this Card Mat. It never lasts more than ten cards, and most of the time it lasts even less. I understand that paper fibers differ significantly from those of other materials, but this is absurd. br>br>I cover it after each card while I prep the next one, clean it with a small roller, and nothing seems to keep it adhered; I shouldn't have to buy another product (spray adhesive) just to get this one to work. Even if you spend a lot of time firmly pressing the card against the surface with a tool designed for this purpose, it will usually pop off halfway through the cut. I have to buy a new one of these every year for Christmas cards, and I have to pick and choose who gets a card in case I can't get to them due to the product's failure; I'd like to make cards for more events, but I'm not going to buy a new mat for every holiday. For the nicer looking packs, the Cricut cards are already quite expensive, and with this mat, you sacrifice one or two, resulting in even less than planned. br>br>This is my second year purchasing this, and I believe I'll have to settle for a knockoff brand next year. Even if it doesn't stick well, for the price of this one, I can get three or four of a knockoff brand.
