Questions & Answers

I'm not sure what size glue sticks I'll need. ?

Hello, it's designed to work with 11mm diameter glue sticks, and I'd recommend getting the extra long 300mm ones instead of the smaller ones because the glue gun burns through the smaller ones quickly, and they save you time and money.

Is it possible to use the same charger that came with my Ryobi drill?

Any Ryobi 18v battery will fit and charge it, as will any Ryobi 18v charger. They run better on a single 18v battery (they're Li-ion). Battery (lithium-ion). I hope this has been of assistance.

What is the power consumption of this gun?

I couldn't find a power rating, but it has a long battery life and is cordless, which is a huge plus. Hello, I wouldn't recommend it for children because of the operating temperature. This is the unit for you, it's a monster! If you're doing industrial crafting or assembly of large items where you don't want the glue to set before you're ready to install the part, this is the unit for you. However, I'm already knocking it off the counter and bouncing it across the garage. It also has a silicone heat shield on the tip, which makes it much less likely that you will burn yourself. I'm hoping for a version that includes: Apart from that, this thing is a monster. It needs a brighter red operation light and a low setting. Prepare to affix. ')br>I hope that this information is useful. Bubba in Portlandia wishes you a wonderful day.

Is there an auto shutoff feature on this?

Yes, but only after about 5 minutes of not using it; this is to prevent it from overheating when not in use, and glue also tends to melt and dribble out of the nozzle if left unattended, so it's best to turn it off if there are long periods between uses, as the gun heats up quickly anyway.

So far, this is the best glue gun I've used
5/5

I have a lot of Milwaukee M12/M18 tools, but it was this cordless glue gun that prompted me to give Ryobi a try, and it did not disappoint. There appear to be almost no good options for cordless glue guns; those that run on standard batteries don't get hot enough; some aren't really cordless but can be unplugged at the gun and rely on the retained heat to function for a couple minutes while you do your gluing; others are butane but temperature control is difficult; others are butane but temperature control is difficult; and it uses up the compact lithium batteries fairly quickly, probably 30-45 minutes. 40 minutes is a long time, but it's usually more than I need. Although it appears to be hotter than most glue guns I've used, it isn't hot enough to boil the dual-temp glues commonly found in stores today. It would be too hot to use with a true low-temperature glue, in my opinion. The trigger is excellent and provides excellent control; it also includes a check valve in the tip to prevent glue from leaking out while the machine is running. br>br>The only thing that would be nice is if they included an LED, but at $30, that's probably asking too much. When you need to add a new stick to an existing one, use a hot glue gun tip to heat one end of the new stick and then stick it to the back of the existing stick. It ensures that there are no feed issues and helps to eliminate any air bubbles at the point where the two sticks meet.

If you already have Ryobi batteries, this is a great option

I try to keep my reviews short so you don't have to read ten paragraphs. This glue gun is capable of completing the task at hand. We immediately applied it to our plant vase, gluing a rubber cover to it. Our electronic pop-up is hidden behind this. br>br>There is only an on/off switch on the gun. br>br>Advantagesbr>- Affordably pricedbr>- Powered by Ryobi batteriesbr>- br>Easy to work withbr>- br>br>Consbr>- Lightweight and compactbr>br> If you forget to turn it off, it will completely drain the battery because it does not auto shut off. br>- In comparison to a wired glue gun we used to own, it appears to take a long time to heat up. br>- The gun's front top part gets hot, so only pick it up by the handle. br>br>Overall, a good value. If you already own Ryobi batteries, this is a good buy.

I'm really pissed off
3/5

I own a small business that specializes in high-quality wreaths, and after using a few cheap glue guns, I decided to invest in the best glue gun money could buy. So I did it, believing that it would solve all of my problems. They weren't, no way. That was fine; I'd grown accustomed to how awkward it is to use with the heavy battery pack; my major issue is that it is leaking hot glue from the tip. This isn't a small drip like every other glue gun I've owned; instead, it's a constant stream of glue that gets all over my products. Within 30 seconds, a quarter-sized puddle has formed. Aside from that, the battery life isn't great. It lasts about the same amount of time as one wreath before I have to re-charge it.

HOT
4/5

It's fantastic. It quickly heats up. smooth and dependable Here's where things get a little sticky. The glue is extremely hot when it is dispensed. I've never used a glue gun that was as hot as this one. It's extremely hot. After 5 seconds, I can touch the glue with my adjustable gun on the cooler setting to control it. Even after ten seconds, the glue from this mfer burned me to a second degree. This gun isn't playing games. br>I wish it had interchangeable heads like one of mine does, so the amount and width of glue that comes out could be controlled for more delicate projects. br>I'm a huge fan of this.

Awful! It's pointless! Trash! Normally, I am a huge fan of anything RYOBI! This hot glue gun is a nightmare! I've only used it three times and the glue is already leaking from the seams

Around the release tip and through the top of the trigger. It's literally all over the place! Take a look at the images below. Useless! Keep scrolling if you want to learn more! It was a waste of money!.

I was let down
3/5

I'm not sure if it actually works. I couldn't see where the battery wasn't included because I'm a complete moron. What a load of nonsense. Every battery-powered tool I've purchased, such as a seeder or a leaf blower, has always come with a battery. I now have to pay another thirty dollars. 00 for a replacement battery or return this glue gun It had been planned as a present. I bought two batteries that I thought came with charge, and I was not only stupid once, but twice. This has to be a fantastic glue gun. The charger had to be ordered separately from the rest of the order. As a result, I've now spent more than $100. 00 is the cost of a glue gun. It's a present for my niece, who drives me to doctor appointments and surgeries. Yes, she's worth it, but it'll put a dent in my retirement savings.

Definitely a good investment
5/5

I've used thousands of hot glue guns in an industrial setting over the years, some labeled "Industrial" or "Professional," and this is by far the best; it's hotter than most plug-in hot glue guns. in type and continues to work without cooling, doubling the speed of any task that requires a lot of hot glue. It was well worth the money. It quickly depletes batteries, but I'm using the compact variety.

I'd also like to point out that the only "con" I've noticed so far is that it burns through batteries quickly
4/5

As a result, I frequently turn it off. So far, I really like this gun. When combined with Gorilla Glue, it creates a strong bond. It has come in handy for household tasks in various sizes of glue sticks. It appears to take a little longer to heat up than a regular glue gun, but I was expecting that. I'd also like to point out that the only "con" I've noticed so far is that it burns through batteries quickly. To save battery, I find myself turning it off as soon as I'm finished applying a dab of glue. After it's fully heated, I can still dispense glue for a few minutes, and reheating isn't too difficult from there. It's possible that I'll need to buy one or two larger amp-hour batteries.
