I'm not sure, but I think I used about a quarter of the bottle on a 1000-piece puzzle. I was in charge of the front. I flipped it over and worked on the back.
There is no applicator included with Mod Podge. A foam brush is what I would recommend.
You can, in my opinion, use this glue on only one side, which I prefer to the risk of leakage through the puzzle if you flip it backside up for a second coat. As I write this, I'm staring at a 1000-word document. Last month, my wife and I finished a 500-piece puzzle, which I then Modified. I only Podged the front side and discovered it was extremely secure with one well-placed well-placed well-placed well-placed well-placed well-placed well-placed well The coat was spread out on the front and hung in a 20" x 27" (in dimensions) frame on the wall. I didn't glue the backside because I didn't see any reason to, but I did use a lot of glue on the front and spread it out evenly so that every piece was glued. I hope this has been of assistance. Have fun!
I completed three (1000-piece) puzzles front and back and still have enough pieces to complete one side of a 1000-piece puzzle.

I bought it for two reasons: first, because Mod Podge is a well-known and widely used brand, and second, because it was a good deal when compared to other glues I had tried. I recently completed a 3000 piece puzzle and wanted to keep my work safe. br>Here are a few advantages:
- Although the glue is white, it dries clear and isn't too shiny or distracting from the puzzle itself. br>- I didn't run out of glue with my 3000 pieces, so there was plenty to go around. br>- The glue dries quickly, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it did so. br>- Warm water and soap are all that's required for cleanup. br>Cons:
- I had to make do with an old plastic checkbook cover to spread the glue evenly because I didn't have an applicator. It's not a big deal if you don't buy anything extra; it's not a big deal if you use something from home. br>- Thin, you'll almost certainly need multiple coats to achieve a secure finish (don't worry, there's enough glue for this; just be prepared). br>br>Tips: The nice thing about this glue is that when you spread it, you can see exactly how much glue is in each crevice. Pay attention to the fissures! Ensure that every crevice is filled with glue and that it does not glob on top of the actual piecesbr>br>Was my review helpful? I sincerely hope so. With three coats on the front and one coat on the back, an 8 oz bottle will cover about four 500 piece 24x18 puzzles. We do our puzzles on a laminate countertop with a sink cut out, and I've discovered that I can do the glue right on it, and the dried puzzle glue peels right off. It's convenient because you won't have to worry about anything. To seal the edges, simply brush them with a brush. br>br>I use a 3" non-adhesive tape to apply it. paintbrush for a low price (Nothing too pricey, but a 99-cent chip brush will leave bristles embedded in your work. ) ) Before the things dry, clean your brush with water. On the front, I apply one coat by pouring a tablespoon or so of paint onto a section at a time and brushing it out. It will collect in the joints, which is a good thing. Don't be concerned about the fact that it's very white and opaque; it dries clear. br>br>After the first coat has dried for a few hours, flip the puzzle over and brush a single coat on the back, allowing it to dry for a few hours before flipping back over to the front. After that, you can apply coats every hour or so to achieve the desired thickness; I apply one more thick coat, sand smooth with 0000 steel wool to remove any brush marks, and wipe it clean with a slightly damp cloth. Then a final coat with a foam brush, applied very thinly, and if any brush marks remain after it dries, a little more 0000 steel wool. The glued puzzle is quite stiff at this point, but it does have some flex and a nice glossy finish (about as glossy as a standard puzzle finish).
I read a couple of reviews where people complained about the glue seeping through and affecting the surface beneath the puzzle. While covering the work surface with a 13 gallon white trash bag (flattened) is always a good idea, we didn't notice any seepage. This is most likely due to the differences in puzzle quality vs. puzzle difficulty. Mod Podge is a term used to describe the process of adhering items together Ravensburger puzzles are one of our favorites; the high quality of their puzzles means there is no room for seepage between the thick pieces. The back of the puzzle received the first coat, which made sense given our project plan. I was able to carefully pick up the 1000 piece puzzle as if it were a single piece after just one thin coat to the back of the puzzle. Errors are easily corrected, and cleanup is simple. It comes highly recommended! Mod Podge Scrapbooking Foam Brush Set, 24959 (4-pack) was used. a part) Mod Podge is a great way to add texture to a project.
There is nothing more enjoyable! When I bumped into the wall hard enough, my puzzle fell from where I was hanging it on the wall with double sided adhesive, but it didn't break! Not a single piece came apart while hanging from a height of about 5 feet! Definitely superior puzzle glue. It does leave a slight film on top of it, but it's not visible unless you're standing within a foot of it, and even then, it's not bad.
I've glued four 3000-piece puzzles with consistent results. It has a white appearance when applied, but it dries clear. We usually leave wax paper underneath our puzzle construction so that when we glue it, the glue will just stick to the sheets or the puzzle, which is easy to clean up and throw away. If you don't, the puzzle will cling to whatever you're working on it with, but it won't ruin your puzzle if you're careful. Overall, based on how it works, this is the best puzzle glue on the market. You won't be disappointed if you use some sponge brushes to fill in all the cracks.
A large, spread-out covering on the front of a puzzle is more than enough to keep it completely intact and ready for saving or framing. To put it another way, applying the solution to the back of the puzzle isn't necessary, lowering the risk of "leak-through. " through" and reserving this fantastic glue for use on the front of yet another puzzle This is an outstanding item!.
I bought this to frame our 2,000-piece puzzle, and it's fantastic. I'll be ordering more for my next big project. It gives the puzzle a shinier appearance and it holds up well.
I bought a puzzle for my boyfriend as an anniversary present, and it had a lot of our photos on it, so I needed something to keep it together. This was the first thing I tried, and it was fantastic! I was concerned at first because the glue was white, but as it dries, it becomes clear and glossy. It's fantastic, and I've used it for a variety of purposes since then. Instead of going to a Michaels store, I would recommend purchasing it here. Michaels is way too expensive in my opinion.
