For years, I've been eating the produce. In comparison to glue/water or various homemade recipes, I believe it is worth the extra money. The perfect amount of thickness - It's thin enough to spread/coat easily but thick enough to avoid getting all over the place or damaging the paper. I wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't a little short, but when I put it in a squeeze bottle to make it easier to use, I discovered it's about 7 oz.
I applied several coats just to be sure, and the paint hasn't worn away. I also used it to cover a canvas painting I did with acrylic paint. It goes on white but dries clear; I used several coats and it turned out beautifully. It wasn't quite as matte as I had anticipated. It's not particularly high-gloss, but it's also not what I'd call a true matte.
I was gluing a "velvety type" fabric to the plywood bottom as well as the dividers I'd made. Modge Podge seeped into the fabric, staining the dividers. I'm going to redo them and use a different method of gluing. It also bled through a few small sections of the plywood bottom, but I'm okay with that. I thought I could wipe some of the glue off the sides of the expensive Sapele wood I used for the project, but apparently I didn't, and now I'll have to sand and restrain that section. It may be suitable for other applications, but I would not recommend gluing directly to wood.
But that's how it came to be. NO LID. I'll have to deal with exposed glue as soon as I open it. This happens because I don't use it frequently. What the hell is going on here?.
Mod Podge has always piqued my interest, but I'm not sure why. I've tried hard to fall in love with it, but all I've gotten are mediocre to poor results. It is not "clear" when it dries. Lines and any parts that are unevenly coated can be seen. You can't use it on any kind of surface, either. It peels away from the ceramic. I've been trying to figure out what makes it so great for years. However, I believe I have completed my task.
Mod Podge is a versatile product that can be used for a variety of projects. My son recently redone goose decoys that were over twenty to thirty years old with mod podge. He reprinted them and applied this over the top to help protect the paint while hunting in the field or on the water. It worked perfectly, and he did a fantastic job with it. He's a teen, and I couldn't have done a better job than he did. It left a lasting impression on me. I'll see what I can do about posting pictures once everything is finished and dried. I'm sure I'll be a mod podge buyer for the rest of my life. I've never had a product from them fail to meet my expectations. Usually, it exceeds my expectations. I can't say enough good things about this company and its products as an artist and crafter. I'll also be back to purchase more because we use them in a variety of art projects. I owe several different ones and still have a few more that I want. These products come highly recommended.
It's fantastic! It's extremely helpful in a variety of situations. It doesn't require my opinion-- However, here is a suggestion: The six-pack of 8-ounce bottles is the best deal. If you're anything like me (a super crafter who transforms into a lazy procrastinator every few weeks), your Mod Podge will dry out before you can get back into your "crafting zone. " It's possible that you'll be left with a single, massive bottle that's dried out and spoiled. It's worth the extra money to start your new project with a brand new bottle; it's wasteful, but it's a lot less frustrating. Best regards!.
I used this for decoupage a long time ago, and an art dealer recently reminded me that it's the best glue for making Christmas cards and other crafts. I'd completely forgotten about it until now, when I remembered how simple it was to use - and it's still as good as it was when it was first released. This glue (move over, Elmer's!) can be used to complete a plethora of crafts. ) I believe this is the key to saving my current Christmas projects. KP Harwell is the author of the book.
