This glue stinks to high heaven. It simply does not hold one lightweight square of paper to another, no matter how carefully I applied it. It doesn't always dry clear, either. It dries a dirty grey/brown in some places (refer to photo, though it's possible that the dirt is too small to see), and leaves a dark-brown stain in others. Others have a greasy residue. Because I'm keeping an eye on things, I'm going to stay put. Returning this isn't necessary, so I'll swallow my pride and throw the glue sticks away. I don't want to keep them around because I'm afraid they'll ruin projects.

Every one of us should be like a glue stick. All hail the glue stick, the king of all glue sticks. I'm left with massive, throbbing gratitude to Amazon for the opportunity to express the beauty of this amazing product as I wipe away tears from the overwhelming emotions surrounding this blessed stick.
It's difficult to be critical of glue, but these sticks simply do not adhere to paper. br>I usually buy Avery glue sticks when I make homemade cards. The adhesive is extremely weak. br>br> If you're working with materials that require you to be able to peel something off and reposition it (i. e. , children), but not so much if you're like me and want something that will stay in place indefinitely (e. g. , scrapbooking, and ticket collecting, to name a few).
I purchased this item with the intention of making sticky notes with it. It came with all of the sticks loose in a bag, and the sticks say "Restick for up to 5 minutes," but that isn't mentioned in any of the online pictures or anywhere else that I could find. I put one to the test to see if it would work, and it isn't going to work for my needs. However, if you need a glue to slightly reposition papers in case you put them in the wrong spot, this is a good option. Overall, it's a good glue, but not great, and I think the advertising could have been a little clearer about the time limit.
I bought a cheap set because who doesn't want to save money? In addition, I don't mind if things are done ahead of time. This is why I've kept my eyes peeled for something like this. 5/6 glue sticks were in good condition, and everything was fine (1 glue stick was missing in the photos because I'd already stuffed it into my daughter's pencil case). The last gluestick, on the other hand, has a broken/missing cap that melted in the packaging due to the heat. Yikes. Overall, the rest will do their job with a little cleaning up, and I still don't mind buying items at a discount.
The clear Elmer's glue sticks are ideal for putting together PDF sewing patterns. The open time allows you to reposition and adjust as needed, but once they dry, the paper is completely adhered to each other. I've reused patterns several times and they've always stayed in perfect condition; it's so much easier than taping!.
They consider themselves to be fantastic! I also used one to glue small sheets of paper to a laminating pocket before running it through the machine; the glue was visible for the first hour or so after laminating, but dried clear later. They're of excellent quality!.
