Yes, but you'd need a lot of them! The pellets are quite small. To make an envelope stamp, I need to use two of them.
When it dries, it becomes rigid, and if placed in a postal sorting machine, it will crack. It's a good idea to have your mail stamped by hand. You'll also need a lot of glue to attach them to your envelope if you make them on wax paper or another drying sheet. To see if a direct seal to the envelope is better, try it. The richer colors have a great look to them!
The number of stamps you use depends on the size of the stamp, but I usually use three or four. The wax comes right off and it's clean again if you clean it off with a paper towel right after you pour it (be careful not to burn your fingers).
No, the wax only appears to melt when it comes into contact with a candle flame. I just did a bunch of sealing and it not only cools quickly, but as long as it's not poured onto cloth or thin paper, if you spill it, pulling the wax off and melting it again doesn't seem to be an issue.

Each color has about 50 wax beads, with the majority of them having metallic finishes.
Before purchasing this set, I had tried a different set of wax from a different brand, and the materials were very inexpensive. The spoon that came with the other set broke on the first use, but this spoon is sturdy and has been used many times! There are a lot of great colors here, but I'm not a fan of the hot pink. I doubt many people would use it, and I'm not going to use it myself. Also included were some nice markers.
I understand that the colors in the photo may not be accurate, but SIX SHADES OF WHITE? And there's no light blue or true pink? For a child, white is just plain boring. The bright colors drew me to this set. If you or your child enjoys bright colors, I wouldn't risk it. In comparison to the photos, the set appears to be rather dull.
The use of wax seals to seal the envelopes was one idea. I saw this on Amazon and decided to give it a try, despite not knowing much about how to do the whole stamping process or exactly what I'd need. I was taken aback by the variety of colored waxes available. The two stamps included in the set were also fantastic. They're well-made and durable. In addition, the gold and silver markers are a nice touch. The only thing I wish this set had was a tea light holder to hold the melting device so I wouldn't have to hold it while waiting for the wax to melt, but other than that, I'd highly recommend it to anyone. This is an excellent starter pack!.
My child was enthralled by these videos of wax stamping and requested a wax stamp kit for Christmas. She only has two stamps, but she enjoys combining the various colored waxes and creating the stamp. I sit with her, and because there's an open flame involved, it's a nice little bonding time. She's ten years old and capable of taking care of herself, but I wouldn't trust her to do it on her own. I've done a couple of them myself, and it's a fun little kit. As we scrapbook, we'll be purchasing more stamps, and this would be a fun addition.
The candles were not used. The stamps are of good quality, and the wax is appealing to me. If it gets too hot, it bubbles, but it quickly melts and leaves a nice impression without the need for perfect timing.
It appears to be nice, but I'm already wary because it only came with two of the candles that were advertised. I'm not convinced it contains as many wax beads as they claim. I wouldn't put my trust in this vendor.
This is what I'm using for letters, and it's not only easy to use, but it also smells great. In the photo above, I used five wax beads, which was far more than I needed for the effect I wanted. The markers also work well on wax, so I'd give them a ten out of ten.
