This is a fantastic starter kit, but it isn't without flaws. br>br>For example, there are no instructions. I had to look for this type of kit on YouTube videos. Thankfully, it comes with detailed instructions that cover everything from cleaning to using the seal. br>br>I'm not sure if it's the spoon, the height of the spoon holder, or the wax, but the spoon gets a dark stained soot on the bottom that won't come off after two uses. Unless you put a plate under jt, any extra wax will drip onto your desk, and the wax dribbles will not come off because it is wood. br>br>I haven't been able to figure out how to keep the wax from forming heat bubbles. br>br>While the tweezers are useless for picking up wax beads, I enjoy scraping wax off my spoon with the wrong end. I'm putting it in a small tin to save it for later. br>br>The wax beads come in a variety of colors. Except for the fact that I have duplicates of several colors and no purple (who needs four green bins?). I have a lot of colors in my collection, but none of them are purple. br>br>I bought another seal and discovered that the screw matches between the two sticks and three deals, despite the fact that it is a different brand. br>br>The gold/silver marker is perfect. br>br>The envelopes are beautiful. I've never had enough of these sturdy slopes and wish I could buy them to use for photo sending. br>br>I'm so happy I purchased this kit. If I find that this has become a staple in my life as someone who sends a lot of snail mail, I will be replacing several cheap pieces in ghe four.
I was overjoyed to receive my order the next day, and I appreciate how quickly it is available. I decided not to use the tea light and warmer that came with the kit after reading customer recommendations and reviews. I simply lit one of my large home candles, which quickly warmed the wax. It was incredibly simple to pour in a nice circular shape, and the stamp did an excellent job. One tip I picked up and put into practice was to leave the stamp in the wax for about a minute before lifting it up to ensure that both sides had cooled. For each seal in the photo, I used four pieces of wax. I used two to three colors from the same family in each case, and the results were fantastic. There were no repeats among the 24 wax colors I received. Furthermore, the colors are absolutely stunning. This is extremely beneficial. After pouring and stamping, I took a doubled-up shot, as suggested by one reviewer. Using a paper towel, I scooped out the excess wax from the spoon warmer while it was still warm. If you don't do it while the wax is still warm, it will stick to the spoon and won't come off. My spoon did char a little over the flame, as some other reviewers noted, but that was easily removed with a clean dry paper towel while still warm, just like the excess wax. It's a lot of fun and a lot of addicting! : ) The envelopes that come with the kit are thick and lack a seal, as it is assumed that you will use a wax stamp to seal them. I have a small dot tape roller, so I used it to lightly seal the envelope before applying the wax seal to ensure it stayed closed. Another reviewer advised that if you use a wax seal on the outside of the envelope, you should have it hand canceled at the post office because automated machines may not be able to keep it intact. I did so, and seeing such a lovely piece of mail being sent out made everyone at the post office smile. Overall, I'm very pleased, and I know I'll be able to put this to good use in my business, so I highly recommend this kit just for the wax melts!.
Neither your time nor your money should be wasted. Junk! Wax takes an inordinate amount of time to heat up. It's probably best if each wax piece comes with a full tea light candle. Then, when it cools, it cools quickly, causing it to stick to the cup and make it difficult to remove. There are no instructions for cleaning the kit. It's especially bad because it won't burn or clean properly. In addition, paper and envelopes were supposed to be included. This kit does not contain any of these items. I had no choice but to experiment with a wax tablet on my own! I would have kept the kit even if the paper and envelopes were not included; I bought it for the wax and seal. It's a pity that nothing works!.
Wax is a simple substance to work with. This is an excellent starter package. Pellets are very easy to melt. Six of the twenty-four pieces have a flat finish, while the rest are pearlized. VERY DELICATE! I didn't use full pellets, just trimmings for tests, so there was no smell. I trimmed an edge from each color and melted it on low heat with my embossing heat tool just to test the colors. I deducted a star because the color mix contains seven colors that are extremely similar. On the third row, there should have been more variety. This set is ideal for beginners because it includes all of the necessary tools. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. To make the warmer taller, I added big, tall flat back pearls. The back of the spoon is now free of soot. This purchase has made me very happy.
Everything appears to be brand new, the tweezers are useful, and the envelopes are beautiful and substantial. I'm glad I bought it; it was a little less expensive than other kits and included more! br>br>I wish there were more designs on the stamps, but the Tree of Life and "Best Wishes" are great places to start.
In one kit, you'll find everything you need. It's a great way to add a personal and lovely touch to cards, gifts, and other items; it's simple to use, and I love the variety of colors included in the kit, which allows for custom color.
br>In one wonderful kit, I was able to get everything I needed to make such unique letters. I had a great time with it! br>For one stamp, I needed 3 cubes. The beads/cubes are a little smaller than I had anticipated, but they still work well. The colors are vibrant and true to their representation.
