Hari - They should work fine with Inland grinders if you use the same outer diameter bit (for example, a Twofer 3/4" bit instead of an inland 3/4" bit). SW Art Glass has Rob.
Yes, the Twofer Bits are compatible with all Gryphon Grinders, including the Studio, Gryphette, and Convertible (previously known as "Twister"). br>On the other hand, the 1inch version may work better simply because it grinds faster. Two gold grinder bits are shown in the image. These appear to be the same components that I've been purchasing for years. The gold bits appear to have a finer grit than the Aanraku ones. At a local stained glass supply store, I purchased an Aanraku (silver) bit. It offends me greatly. When I grind my glass, it leaves jagged edges. It's just a matter of chipping away at small chunks at a time I started using my old (gold) bits because I couldn't find any new ones. Because the Twofers are 100/120 grit, I returned them. Grit was not mentioned in any way in the product description. Very let down.
These are not to my liking. They fit on my GlasstarII, but no matter how tight I tighten them, they vibrate. There's a lot of chipping going on. They're fine if you're bringing a large amount of glass, but they're not ideal for fine, precise grinding. br>Recent changes: I believe one of them was defective, but I tried the other one and it works perfectly. Unfortunately, I am unable to return my order because it is too old.
As a result, I'll have to spend twice as much on a bit.
This is a standard grit size that should not be used for mirror work.
This is NOT the stuff I got! They have a silver appearance. 60: Your fingers will be severed at a rate of one hundred per cent!.
They're fine, though I wish there were two grits available. You will require them if you work with stained glass. Aside from that, no.
