A total of two pounds must be equal to the weight of the oils, lye, water, and essential oils. Mold needs to be filled with 5 pounds of material.
No, I have never used Nurture's tall and slim but from what I have seen on YouTube, I believe it is not worth it. By doing so, the bar becomes more rectangular in shape.
I don't know
very flimsy, and it needs to be held in place with a wooden box to remain in its original form. This product cost me less than $5 per batch, so I thought I would be able to make a larger batch of it. As for being removed from the silicone well, I tend to have to peel it a little from the soap, so that does not get the nice "shiny" side. I would get the firmer silicone mold (crafters choice - 5mm) instead. To be honest, I would rather have a typewriter (or any other type). There is a 1501 mold and a 1505 mold that I love. It is necessary to keep the box in shape for the bigger ones. I do not yet have a job. Take advantage of this time and make the most of it! I am Ladybuglather. This site consists

A friend of mine's daughter is getting married in a few months, and she was thinking about making homemade soap to give to her bridal shower guests. Since I am known as the "crafty" one in our group, my friends asked me to make a batch of 40 to 50 bars for them. Even though I have made soap before, it has been a while since I did so. So I went to Amazon to see what tools were available and found I am so grateful for that. It used to be that I used cardboard boxes or whatever else I had lying I was amazed at what I saw. square and after the soap has set up, you just lift it out of the wooden portion pull back the silicone and you have a perfectly squared bar of soap. It took so long to do 50 bars one mold at a time, we got only about 8 or 10 bars per mold. I regret not buying a few more because it took so long to do 50 bars at a time.
Dimensions listed in the description of the mold I received matched those listed in the description Three by two. Size 7x10 inches. In all, I get 8 bars of soap measuring about 2 1/2 wide x 3 inches (depending on how high I mound the soap batter) by 1 1/4 thick, plus a little bit of soap left over for a sample. A volume of 42 ounces of water can be held in it. This is how SoapCalc behaves when I use it. When you net and punch in 2 1/2 lbs of oils, you get a 30% water discount, and this is more than enough to fill the mold (there is some texture left over). By using Soapcalcs default water percentage of 38%, I was able to fill an extra soap bar mold with left over soap batter. The Crafters Choice 1501 silicone mold holds slightly more than this product. The Crafters molds are better but I like these molds more There is a more circular shape to the bars, which I like. It is very easy to remove the soap from these molds If you wish, you can also turn the soap inside out as you release it Therefore, the corners and edges are more likely to be clean.
The hard part is over, but the great part is that it's awesome. As result of the silicone liner, you do not need to line it, and the wooden box prevents distortion of the shape by bowing at the sides. have not yet unmolded it or cleaned it, but as a whole I'm really happy with it The price is so awesome for a soap mold like this that includes a nice liner!.
This mold came as a back-up, and it fits quite well in my wooden boxes. The last few months, I have been making a lot of soap for stocking stuffers, and I typically expect to make two loaves every day for about a week in the fall. The boxes I use to store my molds can be switched every other day without having to buy additional ones. My favorite thing about silicone is that it doesn't stick to the soap, and the loaf will pop I have run them in my dishwasher several times and they have held up The price and quality of this purchase are awesome!.
It provides a great deal of value for a great product. Whenever I'm going to make something for a client, I'll choose this over more expensive molds like Brambleberry's and Nurture's. Even though it is a little bit more difficult to unmold, the product is worth it for the price. Makes a beautiful square bar of soap, which is easy to clean (though like all silicone products, some smell will remain so make sure to wash well before using). I have baked many loaves with it, and it has held up well! This is one of my favourite molds.
I am in love with this mold. I have been making soap and am looking for another mold, but I did not want to pay $30-$50 for it The cost of one is $40. I was able to find it at a great price and it fits my needs perfectly. When pulling out the soap, you'll see an internal silicone lining that splits and comes The wooden outer mold releases nice and clean, then slides right back into the inner wooden.
Since it has silicone liners, it is the one I chose. I would rather waste my time than waste it lining an ice cube tray A 2 was used. I made a 25 lb recipe (36 oz) and it filled it within an inch of its life. So, I'm hoping to get 10 pieces out of this, so I'm cutting each slice into a 1" thick piece. I will be able to make soap gifts for my friends with this mold.
What it says is exactly what it is. This soap mold is made of wood with a purple silicone lining. You can make soap without using freezer paper every time with the silicone mold in the silicone. The freezer paper is a frustrating step for me when it comes to Molds are generally flimsy and not very strong on their own, but as liners, they are perfect. All of my soaps have come out clean, with no sticking with the mold. I used the same recipes with the mold as I did with other wood molds, and the thinness of the mold did not seem to affect the gel phase when making my familiar soap Be aware that silicone holds scent, so if you're adding scent to your soap, you'll need to take that into consideration! According to the scent you use, you may need different liners for different scents. I'm not blaming this silicone liner for this, I'm just pointing out something to note about silicone liners in general.
