I can't measure it because I'm currently sculpting a dragon head on mine, but it's life-size and slightly elongated to account for latex shrinkage.
It shouldn't be that way. It was packed with light materials in a large box when I bought it, so it's nowhere near that heavy.
That is, after all, the Alanna head. It looks a lot like the Ed Head (though they're nothing alike in real life), but it's a little smaller and has slightly more feminine features.

This was purchased so that I could create clay sculpts that I could then mold into prosthetics. Because it's made of foam, they recommend filling the hollow area with plaster to make it more sturdy, which I did. When using clay on it, the suggestion of covering it with a plastic bag held together with rubberbands failed miserably. There's no way to keep the clay in place or make it conform to the shape of the face properly. So my clay is applied directly to the head, and I try to be very careful when using my sculpting tools on it because the surface is unfortunately very easy to nick.
This simplifies and symmetricalizes the process of making costumes. The face is slightly off center in relation to the chest, but this isn't as much of an issue if you're only working with the face. I strongly advise fursuit and creature designers to purchase one of these. Or two, or three, or four, or five, or six, or seven, or.
Although well-made, it appears to have the potential to topple over when in use. It had been given to me as a present for Christmas. Daughter liked it so much that she put it on her Amazon wish list for Christmas.
measurements with accuracy For a female/slender head, the thickness and cast are good, and the measurements are accurate. The seams are nicely sanded, and the ears are shaved close to flush, which I appreciate. It does, however, dent and crack. br>br>Have yet to see how it handles coming out of its first mold- as I discovered upon arrival (the box it was shipped in was damaged and punctured, and the forehead had a good sized dent in it)br>br> Overall, it appears to be a good buy.
Monster Makers is a game that I can never get enough of! This armature is fantastic! On it, I sculpted a bust from the Haunted Mansion! It worked like a charm! I'd purchase it again.
This is something that my granddaughter adores.
