It's something I use in all of my crafts. It's simple to use.

This wire represents excellent value for money (at the time I chose it, it was worth $. 16 cents per foot, or slightly more than a penny per inch). It's very soft and bendable, so getting a "smooth" appearance takes some practice. You must learn how to bend it without "overhandling" it, but at such a low price, there is plenty to "practice" on without spending a fortune! I have a "jig" that I can use to make precise shapes, but the wire can also be shaped "free form" without the use of any tools. br>br>I'm excited to see what kinds of things I can make with this wire (shapes, words, etc. ).
I tried making a loop to hang an outdoor flyswatter from nails on posts (see photos). I ordered this wire for a small sculpture I wanted to make to go with another project, and I got a lot more than I expected-- in terms of both quantity and quality The wire is simple to bend (with pliers) into any shape you want, and it's also simple to cut. It has a lot of power as well. br>When I was finished, I polished it with polishing compound and my rotary tool until it was no longer bendable. It did exactly what I needed it to do, and I'm trying to think of new ways to put the remaining 60 feet to good use. br>br>Excellent wire; everything about it makes me happy. There are no bends in the winding. Excellent craftsmanship.
This is one long continuous piece of wire; I'm not sure what gauge it is, but it's quite thick. It has a lot of flexibility and is simple to work with. I tried to photograph one of the imperfections on the wire's surface, but they didn't show up well because it was so shiny. These won't affect my use of it, but they might for others, so I'm including them. It's great that it's silver all the way through, so you don't have to worry about scraping through and exposing the copper color.
Wirework is something I do. I like to make animals and other items to incorporate into my work (Autumn Phoenix Designs) by using thick, inexpensive wire like this. The wire used to make the cat in the photos was easy to bend and work with, and it turned out well. As with most wire, the more you bend and work with it, the harder it becomes/the better it holds its shape. It's highly suggested!.
So far, we've used it to make butterfly crafts and a frame for fairy wings to hang on a child's room wall. The thickness makes soldering or twisting together a breeze. Smooth with a mirror finish. What else is there to say about Aluminum craft wire? It's exactly what I needed.
