between 7 and 8 years old They're diamond-shaped holes with a stretchy wire.

Is the color of this mesh "copper" or "brass"?

The one I have has a silvery hue to it.

Is it durable, and can it be stretched for a long time?

The mesh works best as a layer beneath a structure or "skeleton" of some sort. I sculpt with paper mache on a mesh wire base. It's light, so it won't hold up to a lot of weight, but it's flexible enough that you can shape it a little bit. It is not going to stretch.

I used it to make armatures for 3 1/2 foot tall papier mache figures. It worked wonderfully, but be cautious when cutting it. The cut tips are extremely sharp, and they can easily scratch you.
