A joiner can be used; in some cases, one is included in the order. Alternatively, floral tape can be used. Remove the cotton from the spool, overlap the ends by about an inch, and secure with floral tape.
I ordered five units, which came in a continuous roll.
This is a metal wire that has been covered in cotton thread and is used to make hats. This isn't suitable for anything that needs to be washed, in my opinion.

This was ordered to sew just beneath the brim of a Target-purchased faux straw Fedora hat. The hat was crisp and dapper when I bought it, but the brim was sagging after a few wears in the Florida heat (and a brief shower). It was, in fact, depressing and sloppy. br>br>I couldn't complain because it was such a good deal when I bought it. I'd worn it enough to think it was a good buy, but I'm sorry to have to donate it to a thrift store. It's not every day that I come across a cheap hat that fits perfectly and is in a style that I enjoy enough to wear on a regular basis. br>br>This millinery wire was precisely what was required. While one yard fell just short of completing the loop around the brim by a few inches, it was close enough. (It appears that a slight sag in the back of the hat works well. ) )br>br>The wire is Goldilocks perfect in terms of stiffness (meaning: just the right amount). It has a high-quality, even, and snugly wrapped wrap around it. It's also a nice narrow gauge, so hand-sewn into place - It's barely visible beneath the brim of the hat. br>br>This saved a hat I adored when I first got it, and it now looks better than ever. I'm overjoyed because - for the duration of our stay in Florida - I'll be wearing it all the time, rain or shine.
This came highly recommended by youtuber BagODayCrochet, and I was following one of her hat patterns. I was very pleased with the quick delivery of this product, as it allowed me to give the hat I was making to a coworker for Mother's Day!.
On the edge, use the millinery wire. On YouTube, I found a pattern called "bag o day crochet. ".
It was an excellent solution. My fascinator was made by me. So I made a headband out of it by wrapping it in ribbon. Although stiff, the material is still malleable.
If you only need 1 yard, I believe it will be perfect; however, the way it is coiled makes it impossible to straighten.
These are what I use to make the brims of my crocheted summer hats. br>It's strong and stylish.
Sun hats are being made for the summer. I made the brims out of wire. It really works.
This is something I like to use for brimmed crochet hats and small craft projects.
