I found that they didn't work so well with polymer clay, as the clay stained and left residue behind. Ultimately, I went with an 11-piece metal set and I absolutely love it. You may have even been able to get it for a lower price It may be better to use these wood ones It is nice to see these almost perfectly smooth pieces. Some of them have a rough, unfinished feel, but on the whole they are very.
This is the true and traditional way. The entire range of shapes you'll need to make most clay models with wood tools can be found here. also have a metal spatula set, loop tools, and knives to round out These only got a 4 star because they are a little smaller than what I used to get, and I had to refine some of the shapes with a file. However, for the price, I would not consider making my own tools.
This set can be used for many things, including working with stoneware clay at home, as there are various shapes and thicknesses to choose from. The bags are easy to hold and toss around, and they are easy to use. Messily and without much care, I don't take care of my tools as much as I should, but these seem to hold up to my messy manner!.
I am currently taking an ecorche class at a local college and the Kemper clay tools that are suggested from other companies are too big and clunky to reach the fine details we need in the plastina clay (which is harder than the soft clay). Tools like this work well for detailing small details in sculptures since they are small and sturdy. Throughout my experience with VKtech, I've been very satisfied.
My favorite clay sculpting tool is the clay sculpting tool. Using these with my grandson's sculpture projects was perfect.
They are pretty decent wood tools considering the price. I don't expect them to stay sharp and the wood is not a strong hardwood, but the quality is directly reflected by the low price. I use them for ceramics and they fit my expectations in relation to the listing and pictures. A little under a dollar Considering they are only $50 a piece, they are worth every penny.
This is good for those areas where you can't reach with your fingers. I think the price is good.
Although these work fine, they were not what I had in mind. The wood tools I wanted to purchase were larger and more substantial in size and design. I would use these for small stoneware details, but not for larger pieces of pottery.
