Plaster is the most important component of the hand mold; however, it is recommended that you do not stay in the water for too long, no more than 30 seconds.
It makes no difference if the shape of the nails isn't too complicated; curly nails, for example, are not recommended. It is difficult to damage the mold now that it has hardened and formed. In most cases, there is no need to be concerned about the mold being damaged by fingers or other objects. It's not uncommon for guests to wear intricate wedding rings, which is fine. Simply pull out your fingers one at a time. Please remember to clean up the residues on your nails as soon as possible after removing your fingers; otherwise, the longer it takes to clean them up, the more difficult it will be.

We were a little intimidated by the two pages of instructions and unsure if it would work. We boosted our confidence by watching a YouTube video. It came out beautifully! For a Mother's Day craft, we're going to get one for our daughter. Our son enjoyed it so much that he intends to get one for his fiancée and him to do when they marry.
I was really looking forward to doing this with my Dad, but I was disappointed before we even got started. I went over the instructions several times before beginning Step 1. I only saw clumps after that. Even after seeing the mess, my father and I reached into it, only to see pure water begin to settle at the top and the clumps remain stationary. Please take a look at the photos and images I've included with this review. It's also worth noting that the photos and video were taken after I had washed my hands, so it was well past the time limit and it was still in that state. This was a complete waste of money on my part. I was extremely disappointed. I would give it a zero star if there was one. It appears that they have a few that are defective.
It was very simple to use this product. My husband's and my hands fit perfectly in the tub provided, so it was a win-win situation. Everything you'll need (except a wire whisk and a separate bowl for mixing the casting material) was also included. The instructions are very detailed; if you don't throw them away and follow them to the letter, this should turn out perfectly; we love our finished product.
We followed the instructions to the letter and ours turned out almost perfect, though some pieces of the mold broke off during the drying process, requiring us to sand some areas after plastering it for a long time. I was astounded at how much detail it managed to capture. This was a lot of fun to make for Valentine's Day.
My mother was wearing rings, and we thought it turned out beautifully! Everything you'll need to prep and sand the mold is included in the kit. Also, the shipping was extremely quick. I think it's a great deal for the price, and they even throw in a great raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize! Thank you so much!!.
What they don't tell you is that the consistency isn't what it should be, and by the time you try to put your hand in it, it's hard to work with because it's lumpy. There are simply too many options! Beware! It was a waste of money!.
It was a breeze to work with. We were even able to do it while wearing our wedding rings and not get anything stuck in them. It came out beautifully, with a lot of smoothness and detail. I'm very happy!.
It was a bit of a gamble ordering this, but I'm glad I did. The kit comes with everything you need and includes clear instructions. I wish there was more material to make multiple castings; however, if you took the time to measure out and divide the mixes, you could probably make more castings.
