Questions & Answers

If you are going to make a mold for - you are likely to need something thick. Could you make a resin ring that is thick?

Here are three reasons why. There are 5 ounces in 5 grams. Objects that are small are good to use this. I agree, it would be good to have a resin ring, a key, a button, some coins, and some If the area is less than about one cubic inch, you should estimate only about a cubic inch. As well as the 4 ounce size, we have a 6 ounce size. We have 1 pound and 2 pound sizes available for more reorders A mold that can be reused or a much larger mold. I am grateful for your help!

When used with aluminum, is it effective?

It is possible to mold aluminum objects, but to pour melted aluminum into those objects is not possible. I am impressed by your re-creation The Molding Putty is suitable for materials up to an air temperature of The product ranges from soaps to waxes to plastics and If you want to use a low melt metal, you can do so as well. Wood's Metal is one we have available. Please accept my sincere thanks!

What do you think about this making ?

In fact, you could actually remelt the Putty and repurpose it to make all the different pieces if you melted it and reused it

What can this be used for? Using casting resin, can clear lenses be made? It takes a small lens to focus. A diameter of about half an inch to a inch. ?

In our view, a fast curing clear resin will probably work, but you might also want to try ComposiCast Clear Casting Plastic mixed with ComposiMold very thoroughly

Does exactly what we'd expect, if not more
5/5

In spite of unsuccessful attempts to make a mold with three other products first, I was able to create a successful one with this. As well as being easy to use, the product does great work. It was very forgiving when I reheated it several times in my attempt to make the most accurate replica. Every time I worked with it, it was as if I were using a new composite piece. I had found my cure! The program has proven itself to be extremely useful to me in my work, so I will use it in the future.

I have never seen such a fantastic product! When I tried to move my Grandmother's 80yr old antique mirror (38" x 40"), it fell
5/5

Having no idea how to repair it, I had no idea how to proceed. Composimold instant putty mold was discovered after hours of research on Pinterest and YouTube. This is a great product! Use of the east. If you don't like the outcome of the mold, reheating it and redoing it again is a great feature. Since this was my first attempt, this was a great feature. Composimold 2x actually answered the phone when I called for advice. It was a pleasure to work with them and they provided great advice. The white casting mold resin I bought from Composimold is also from them. This product is excellent and this company is outstanding. My 80-year-old mirror now has a new life after being repainted. My finished product isn't perfect, but it has a story to tell.

Can it really be that good? It is true
3/5

Despite my desire to like it, I was not able to. Despite my best efforts, I didn't find it to live up to its The clay or resin is better, at least. I was able to successfully mold the first couple of times I tried. By the fourth time I tried making a mold, it had become incredibly oily, resulting in my resin going bad. That's all right. Ok, so it will be used solely for polymer clay from now on. Nevertheless, the next time I used it, it crumbled under my hands. In an attempt to get it to stick again, I heated it multiple times and rolled it over several times. Does it come with any special oil drops or a special storage bag? Is it just the small size that makes it poor quality? Just a bit disappointed at how little use I got out of it before the rubbery crumbs permanently disintegrated into them and how much money I wasted on it. My recommendation for this product will be a no.

Is the beef where I can get it? There isn't enough "putty" to fill a child's tea cup from the playhouse

The situation is entirely different than what is This is a very poor quality product and a very small quantity! Observe my mistake and learn from it. You won't be wasting your money.

The ceramic clay is molded in a ComposiMold
4/5

It was important to me to find another way to make ceramic pieces without casting them in plaster In order to make 12 copies of a figurine, I had to use ComposiMold Putty. My mold made accurate copies at first, but after I produced 3 copies the mold grew so I had to get a new one Putting the mold in the freezer before each use is also a good idea. Thanks to the frozen mold, the copies came out even more accurately. All in all, I am very satisfied with the results.

The formulation works well for resin molding with polyester resin, and there is no need to release the mold
5/5

Having never molded resin before, I am completely new to it. Mold putty sounded interesting at first, so I purchased it hoping that it might be useful Although I couldn't find anything online about using clay or polymer to make molds for polyester resin, I found information about resin molds made off silicone molds. The answer is This is a great product. Based on the instructions, I heated the putty and then made a mold, filled it with red ink tinted resin, and dried it. It wouldn't separate from the mold putty at room temperature, so I was able to gently separate the thin arms from the hardened resin afterward. I didn't use any oil or mold release because I wasn't sure I could remove it. waited a couple of days for the Zia to cure, and then reheated the putty and applied it again Then I poured some more resin with amber coloring around the Zia, then pressed it into an oval and pressed the Zia all the way into My only problem is that I am an amateur artist, but everything worked out just as I had hoped it would. I look forward to making lots more molds in the future. There are a few things you should know It does not take much putty to cover a small area. This 4" x 3" x 1/4" emblem was molded with just enough material.

It's a cool concept, but it doesn't result in any great results
3/5

really liked the idea behind this product! The jar was 6 oz in size. It contains a tub of putty, a set of clear and thorough instructions, a small bottle of activator, and a pamphlet explaining what else is available (related Following the directions, I placed five drops of the activator into a microwavable bag with putty inside and microwaved it for 15 seconds. It was very pliable so I let it sit for 10 minutes. Checked it again, it was pliable after 15 more. After the putty cooled enough to knead, I molded it by positioning an object in it once it was cool enough. During the 4 hours that it had taken to solidify, I could not remove the object from the mold, while over night it solidified, but I could easily rub out the details I had placed in the mold. Despite my best efforts, it didn't completely set up but I did try pouring resin on it, which held the details reasonably well, but not perfectly. The details are somehow not clean enough to be rubbed out when it is set up correctly. While I do not know how it would hold up under the pressure of liquid wax or hot liquid, I am assuming it wouldn't fare well There could be something wrong, but I haven't yet figured it out.
