Because each flower must be completely covered (including between the petals), a large amount of product would be required to cover the entire bouquet. I believe the only way to do it is to disassemble it, dry the flowers (by layering them in a deep container), and then reassemble it artistically. I had mine done by a professional (before I got into crafting). They dried the flowers separately, then arranged them in a beautiful one-layer arrangement, which was still dimentional due to the flowers, and framed it. It's still with me after 23 years.
5 days in less than a week If there is only one flower, how big is it? Give it a 5-star rating. 7 days.
yes. Because smaller flowers are more compact, they dry faster.
Hello, br>br>A daisy on medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes. 3 to 3 roses Medium for 5 minutes. Fill 1 - 2 cups of water in a microwave-safe bowl. Apply 2 inches of silica to the flower, face it up, and then apply more silica on top of it. Put a cup of water in the microwave's back compartment, then turn it on and heat it according to the instructions above. Just keep in mind that each microwave's heat output varies, but a medium setting is recommended.

I needed to dry them out, but I also wanted them to retain their shape and color. This item was effective. The roses stayed truer to their original color than I expected. All of them stayed in perfect shape! br>** my addition to the instructions *
I wrapped the container in cling wrap BEFORE sealing it. I just wanted to make sure it was completely sealed. br>Colorful photos of dried flowers, the sun, and white light.
It was a huge success. I needed to purchase three 5-pound boxes. I removed the flowers from their stems and covered each one individually. You must use extreme caution and gently shake the silica gel around the outside of the flower while doing so. The flower must be completely covered and must not come into contact with another flower. I put everything in airtight containers and let it sit for three weeks. The flowers turned out to be absolutely stunning. They were dressed exactly as they were on the wedding day. My daughter framed them in a shadow box, which turned out beautifully.
I must admit that I was skeptical of this information. I tried it out and was pleasantly surprised. My flowers dried exactly how I put them in the containers and did not wilt as they would have if I had used the traditional method of hanging them upside down. br>br>I'll say that they're just as delicate as a dried upside down flower. I found a couple of solutions for this, including dipping them in wax or coating them in resin. There are a plethora of things you can do with them once they've dried, so look up some cool ideas on YouTube and Pinterest. However, because you must cover the entire flower with the gel, it is difficult to dry the flower with the stem and all of its glory. You'll have to cut them down to just a small stemmed flower in the end. This makes arranging them in a vase later difficult. The best solution I found (other than purchasing 100 pounds of this stuff to cover an entire bouquet including the stems) was to cut them down, dry them, and then purchase artificial stems. I'm new to this, so there might be better options out there, but the gel itself is fantastic.
My husband's funeral flowers, dried. They were also dried the old fashioned way, by hanging them and allowing them to dry naturally over several days. Use the silica if possible. It turned out to be a fantastic outcome. If you leave the flowers out for longer than the recommended time, they will turn brown. The silica residue will need to be removed with a soft brush. Because dried flowers are delicate, handle them with care. If you're not careful, silica will end up all over your other belongings.
I used to buy smaller quantities from another brand, which came in a convenient plastic box with a lid. br>Because I needed a larger quantity, I decided to try this product. br>This product is a nightmare; when I opened the shipping box, the carton where the product was was open, the bag containing the crystals was glued to the carton, the plastic bag was ripped open, and the crystals were loose in the shipping box. I had to ask for a replacement for my first order because when I opened the shipping box, the carton where the product was was open, the bag containing the crystals was glued to the carton, and the bag containing the crystals was br>Because I have a dog and the cobalt blue in the crystals is toxic to him, I was extremely frustrated. In addition, the majority of the crystals were useless. br>The replacement order arrived today with almost the same problem, except that the bag only had a few tiny holes in it, so not many crystals were leaking out. br>However, if you're going to buy it, make sure you have extra containers to store the crystals in. br>It's a real shame that it comes in such a cheap container for the price. I'm not going to buy it again.
This does an excellent job of keeping the petals and shape of the flower - a lot better than just letting things air dry - Simply follow the included instructions or search YouTube for a video tutorial. I would strongly suggest it. To use this, make sure you have an airtight plastic container, and don't leave the flowers in the gel for too long or they'll dry out and crumble (follow the timeline recommended on the packaging).
Yes, it is effective. However, drying a bouquet of flowers, as I was attempting, is a significant undertaking. The 'blue crystals' frequently turned white, necessitating the removal of the flowers, shaking the crystals onto a cookie sheet, and baking the entire mess for 5 minutes. It took me 6 hours to get them back to their original blue color. To get my flowers to be fairly dry, I had to 'bake' the crystals three times. I should have gone over it again, but I was tired of digging out the flowers and waiting for 5 hours. When the flowers were dried, they took on a color. One of the main reasons I tried this method was to see if it could help me lose weight. The colors, however, were not the same as when we started the process with fresh flowers! If you're planning a bouquet (for a wedding or otherwise), I'd suggest purchasing at least three flowers. This product comes in 6 boxes, which means you won't have to keep baking and drying it over and over.
I purchased a large quantity of this to preserve wedding flowers for my shadow box as well as a number of small ornaments. We mixed flowers in the boxes and left for about 2 weeks because we needed a lot of them to cover the flowers completely with nothing showing. We didn't allow any of the flowers to come into contact with each other, but I noticed that some people did. The flowers are extremely delicate, so you must take them out with extreme caution. Although the color changes slightly, the flowers are much more vibrant than when dried upside down. This is a wonderful way to keep flowers alive.
