These are pigments that are dissolved in water. br>It's very simple to use these pigments. Just a few drops in your resin will give you a sheer color, or a few more will give you a very deep, solid color. Because the pigments are so pigment-dense, a small amount goes a long way. They are fantastic.
To open the bottles, I read the directions printed on the box. Okay. It appeared to be simple enough. I pressed my fingers together, but nothing came out. I pressed my hands together even tighter. Nothing. I clenched my fists even tighter. It blew up all over the place. What a disaster. According to the product page, you're supposed to cut the plastic tip, but the step isn't printed on the box.
The more transparent yellow, out of the 6 or so I've tried, had sediment that had settled and I couldn't get it to dissolve again no matter how hard I shook it. Aside from the lack of manufacturer recommendations for the best way to open, everything has been pretty great thus far. I punctured a hole in the nozzle with a safety pin, but cutting the tip off with a utility knife would probably suffice, depending on how quickly you needed the dye out.
It's fantastic! The colors are bright and lovely! It only takes a few drops to make the color, so it will last a long time; I use these colors on a daily basis!.
As a beginner, I found this to be an excellent choice for my first inked tumbler projects. It works in the same way as other pigments, but it's a lot easier to mix with this one. The sheerness was the only real problem I had. It wasn't quite as sheer as I'd hoped when mixed with resin, but it worked well for my projects (tumblers, wood keychains, etc. ). Pendants/jewelry). I'd recommend these to other beginners as well as those who work with resin and want a product that's a little easier to work with.
Despite the fact that this is my first time working with pigments, I am quite pleased with the results. This product appeals to me because I work with wood by hand. This is what I used to color the epoxy on a small table I'm building. a layering approach I took my time with this because it was simple to incorporate. Also, there isn't a lot of it. I learned the hard way because I didn't follow the directions! I'm excited to see how it turns out. & I'm glad I used this product; there's a lot of pigment in it, so I'll be making more things with it! This box contains.
I like the colors, but as with any resin pigment, different amounts of drops are required to achieve your desired translucent or opaque result. Except for the fact that they took a while to shake up and mix again, I don't have much criticism. Due to their confinement in a box, this is to be expected. I put them in a small box and tossed them in my paint shaker, which, of course, made quick work of them. However, as a whole, I would recommend this product.
First impressions are important. To get the ink flowing, all you have to do is poke a hole in the bottle's stem. Before I realized what I'd done, I cut a few more. They will need a little shaking to get started because some of the pigment will clump together. br>br>Unfortunately, Sapphire Blue was completely dry and stiff when I got it. I shook it, poked it, and did everything else before contacting customer service, who recommended soaking it in warm water almost immediately. That didn't work, and I responded with that, much to my dismay. They only gave me a partial refund on the product, but the other 19 pigments are fantastic and I've had a lot of fun with them. I'd recommend it!.
