In a nutshell, For the past couple of months, I've been using FBCI Liquid Glass with great results and I can say I'm amazed at how good it is. To begin with, I made a mistake and used super clear (just like the table top coating) and poured it too thick I then ensured my forms accommodated the shrinkage caused by the super heating and curing processes. An employee of the company reached out to me and informed me that they actually made a product that was better suited to my needs and was designed to pour 2-inch pans In addition to pouring 4 inches deep in one pour, the super clear can also pour 4 inches deep. It didn't take me long to figure it out since I only pour up to an inch deep at a time. I never want to look back, and I'm so happy I took this path. 2. Here's what it is With the 1 ratio epoxy they have it's so easy to mix and really hard to mess up. You don't have to be concerned about having to mix the resin and messing your pour up. In the literature, it is recommended to mix 2 parts compound A with 1 part compound B, but in my experience I do it as follows I've been using it for over a year and it has worked beautifully. Here is a video that I've attached as well as some photos of the final products I've made with They also have a wide range of kit sizes to choose from. If you just want to get into deep pours and want to test the waters, you may want to get a 3/4 gallon kit. You can pick up a 3 gallon kit like I did if you need a large amount at once, and you can use it for a number of projects in a short time, as well as a few other sizes The company not only has a great product, they are also very responsive to questions that I have about their products. They are a pretty tight-knit group that is willing to help you make the most of their products.
This has disappointed me greatly. After I poured a 2"" river table this morning, when I came back this afternoon, a crack had formed inside it all the way through. A temperature of 74°F and a humidity of 52% are recorded in the garage. There were three inches of epoxy left in the bucket that cured naturally, but the table will never be used. There's no way I can take it anymore.
Also, tints well and can have very nice effects when I read all the bad reviews and it seems that it was a The number of people sanding beyond 220 is rising Due to the lack of anything to grab onto, the epoxy pools up on the 320. Also, if you pour deep pour epoxy in less than 2 inches you can't expect it to dry quickly. It will cure eventually but it may take up to The product is free of VOCs but some people are not happy with being unable to return it, so they make stuff up. In addition, there were at least two people who didn't mix these two There's no need to apologize if you made a mistake. If you are a first timer or have little experience, you should wipe, pour and sand at least 3 seal coats under your LEVELED flood coat. I am looking for reviews from those who have done it before, I love it so much, this was a good With these tables, you'll have a great cast!.
It is not my habit to write reviews for products, but this one had to be written. In the end, I was finally able to pour this table after spending 8 weeks working on it. Despite the slabs being flat and the pour only two inches thick, mine were both perfectly level. A significant amount of shrinkage occurred during the cure of this product! It was so intense that it cupped my table and gave it a 3/4-inch There is no question about this, and it completely detracts from the work done to this point. It ruined the possibility of having a one of a kind, multi-artist performance This is a table that is worth a thousand dollars. My request is for my $750 back, but I'd like to go back in time and choose a brand of epoxy that doesn't shrink so much as to cause serious damage. My lesson is here for you to learn.
The last time was the last time. The directions required keeping the room at the recommended temperatures and humidity,. Maintaining the dehumidifier at the recommended levels, and doing a 2-hour clean up. I use a 5" wide river pour to make a pouring fountain, as described in the product description. In order to be sure the thickness was 2", I first poured a 1/2" base, waited for the glue to set up but still be sticky, and then I poured the 1 inch layer on top. The blue flake is in the top 5 mm of the final pour. This caused large amounts of shrinkage, resulting in several large cracks in the river, as well as a few thin ones along the riverbank. I had to rebuild two rough cut 6 foot cedar planks into desk tops in order to plane, sand and get the tops to be "just right". I had to recover the project with a lot of sanding and retouching. There are cracks under the surface, but they are not visible. After hours of retouching, the image was finally ready for print. This is a product I will never buy Due to the fact that it seemed to be designed specifically for this application, I had high hopes.
Test container with a diameter of 8", good air circulation, and a room temperature of 72 degrees. According to the container, it comes up to 4" thick, but during my test pour, it distorted and expanded a quarter inch upwards as it heated up. The instructions state that one cannot mix more than 1 qt at a time, but the bottle suggests one cannot mix more than 1 gallon at a time. These limits are absurd for deep pour projects. Good to know about the return policy - 30 days - I did a test first. It's a matter of time! In terms of shipping time, it took 10 days for mine to arrive. So 30 days should be considered ( from the date of purchase ).
Also, the shipping boxes were thin and cheap, had dented corners, and were loosely adhered. Luckily, my computer did not suffer any damage. I have used many different deep pour epoxy resins for river tables over the past few decades, and I won't repurchase this product for river tables. I would also not recommend this product. There is a chance that I got a batch from the past. I have given you a fair.
I used a deep pour epoxy for the first time. It had been my plan to make a corner desk for my son, but the project was more complex than I had anticipated. Even though the product is fairly priced, there is still a significant expense if you include the cost of all the wood and other materials. It was impossible for me to make a mistake. I was delighted with how well this product worked! The bubbles are virtually nonexistent, On day 3, the mold will be ready, and on day 5, the material will be ready to use My workshop temperature was in the mid-sixties when I was working in the middle of the day. The project I poured 3 days ago made me so excited to pour the next. So far, I have filled 5 gallons on this one and still have a little bit.
