What does the 1/2" measure? Is it the depth that the fastener penetrates into the wood, or is it the length of each side? Does this type of wood have the appropriate durability ?

It will be flush with the wood half a inch after it is inserted, which means it will go in 1/2" It is unlikely that they will last outdoors due to the fact that they are not galvanized.

The staples shown here are compatible with the Pushmaster, right?

The dimensions are standard for V-necked shirts If you don't have nails, they will work with them There is a Logan tool as well.

What is the best way to install using a hammer?

I would not recommend it, although it is possible.

These were used to construct picture frames with mitered joints out of 3/4" x 1-1/2" wood The poplar is half an inch thick. He held the V- With needlenose pliers, he nailed it in place and then gave it a quick whack to set it. They would still have to hit two or three more times before they would be Usually, the dull edge is on the inner side of the handle. So I had to be careful to feel both ends.

The corners of the frames are held together with these glues well

It seems like they are a little expensive for what you get, but they are very good at holding frames Please make sure that the corners on these V-shaped shapes are tight and well aligned before pushing them Place the nails into the holes.
