The Westcott national rule ruler does not have zero start, but both my Bates and Westcott national rule rulers have zero start. Good luck with
I put a magnet on it and that was It is possible to stick a magnet on it.
It is 25 inches long.
The pillow has a certain amount of flexibility, but it certainly does not fold at When pressure is applied, there is just a slight arc. At this price point, I think all of these types of rulers do very well. To find one that would be totally rigid, you would have to find one that is specialized.

As you might expect, I use it for cutting leather hides the cork back holds the ruler steady under pressure from me, as you would expect. I have several 12" cork backed rulers like this, but I needed the longer one for the job. In addition, I also buy my Artist Paper in a roll, which is 18 inches wide, so I can also cut this out. I am grateful to Darice for another high.
As parents did 40 years ago, this is the same classic metal ruler they kept in their office. The product photo didn't make sense to me when I ordered it I thought it was rubber edging on the ruler, but it's just a blue plastic sleeve that the ruler comes in, and you pull it out to reveal a metal ruler inside. This is just in case anyone else is not sure what the blue color means.
Because the edges of the ruler are so sharp, every time I use it, I cut myself on the ruler. The ruler functions properly, and it is made from good quality metal, but by the time I have done so, I will have given myself multiple cuts. A metal ruler like this would not be a good choice for anyone searching for one.
The ruler seems to work okay as a straight edge, but if you want to use it to cut paper or foam board, locate another ruler instead. This piece has a definite bow in one direction.
My goal was to find something that would measure things as well as one that would push seams out. This metal is thin and fragile, not at all the hard surface I was looking for. Perhaps I didn't read the description carefully enough, but it is extremely thin and fragile. For those who only need it as a ruler, it's probably a great option.
The ruler is of excellent quality. There are only these two rulers in my collection. Its cork bottom and metal edge ensure that measurements are always precise and accurate, and the cork keeps it from sliding when you are measuring. As a rule of thumb, I use this ruler whenever I'm cutting paper, mats, and cardboard. It works better than anything else I've tried.
I use it as a straight edge and as an edge to tear paper. Cork that grips well and adhers well. The edges are nice and sharp for activities such as torning paper or making creases.
And since our 24 inch option is endless, you'll never run out of space!.
The issue described in other reviews exists in this model, but it is functional. In particular, the edge is very sharp and it's very thin.
