If you're looking for a fool-proof way to make multiple tiny flying geese at the same time, use this tool. It is no longer necessary to guess the fabric size or use math formulas to calculate the size. A project I worked on called for 1 1/2 inch flying geese for a presentation. My fingers did not care for working with such a small unit, especially since I had to do it I was able to make 4 blocks at a time using the Flying Geese Ruler and to trim them so that I had an accurate 1/4 inch seam to sew when I made the In comparison to any of the other methods I have used before, this method by Eleanor Burns is much easier to sew. In addition to the fabric cutting charts, there are two rulers included in the package. Besides this tool in a smaller size, you can purchase it in a bigger size as well. The ruler did not slip when I used hem but in order to cut accurately and avoid distortion, I would use InvisiGrip instead of dots. Buying the larger ruler gave me the ability to make two 2X4 and four 4X8 inch.
This was part of a course that I took with Melanie Ham. The grip dots I purchased will not let this slip as I square up, so I have adhered some to it.
