br>She definitely needed assistance with the first step, which is wrapping the fabric and knotting the string on the backside; this butterfly is a little more difficult than the flower because the background shapes have unique outer edges, so keep the guide that comes with it just in case. They give you a few extra pieces of fabric, which we didn't need, but I can see how it would be useful if you misplaced some. I'd like to see more! When it's finished, it'll be very sturdy to hang, and there'll be no need for glue or needles, which I appreciate.
Crafts that are too difficult can frustrate my daughter, but she adores these! I also purchased the flower for her. It keeps her occupied for a half hour, preventing her from watching YouTube or playing Minecraft. I wish there were more options available.
Quilting is cleverly "introduced" to young people in this way.
It's ideal for elementary school students.
I had ordered a butterfly, but instead received a flower. Someone, I'm guessing, needs to learn how to properly read and fill an order rather than relying solely on scan bars. This was a birthday present for a friend, so I was extremely disappointed.
To begin, I'd like to state that this kit was given to my 5-year-old daughter for Christmas this year. The 5-year-old finished it with the assistance of her 10-year-old brother and 12-year-old sister. They all had a great time making this craft, which took about 45 minutes all together. Three cheers for a fun little project. br>br>The children inquired as to whether there were any other similar kits available - My son, in particular, wants to know if there are any that aren't pink or purple and appear to be aimed at little girls. I took a look. No, but I'm wondering if some boys and girls would appreciate a similar kit in a "primary color theme," perhaps with a geometric pattern or something more nature-oriented. Many children (and certainly many parents) have grown tired of the pink/blue marketing scheme for girls and boys. Thank you, Melissa. br>br> Doug - I hope this message reaches you. Your goods are fantastic, in our opinion:.
It was well received by my granddaughter.
Four of the pieces were missing from this adorable kit! What a letdown!.
