Note These are not instructions in the original language. A total of six pictures are printed on the box that comes with this. This page shows you a few different methods for positioning pins and using the linear slots on the board, but you can also find tutorials and ideas on how to position pins for a particular design on you tube, within books, etc. Ultimately however, it's up to your creativity to decide how you want to arrange the pins so that they create the shape you desire. It dates back hundreds of years, when people used to hammer nails into a wooden board that were arranged in particular patterns to make quills, for example, a wheat, flower petals, etc. These are particularly difficult to make if they are required to make several. To make things easier, this board with holes and pegs allows you to do everything instead of doing it all by hand. So I can work on one while the other is drying so I can quill while I am waiting for the glue to dry on one board. The truth is I wish someone offered a board bigger than 6 x 6 inches (12 x 12 inches) with 50 or 100 pins. The board itself is a little small for me to quill multiple pieces on at a time. It is slightly too tight for my fingers to quill multiple pieces on a board this size.
I believe that they are being sold by sellers in China. My guess is it is because you weave paper strips in and out of the metal sticks you place in the hole depending on the design you want to create. I am not sure why it is called a knitting board, but it does vaguely resemble knitting as you weave paper strips into metal sticks. It is in my opinion inaccurate to use the word knitting to describe quilling techniques. Perhaps the metal sticks are regarded as equivalent to knitting needles by sellers.
In this board, you will find 32 pins, which is sufficient for most projects.
A strip of paper will fit in the slots.

The only brand that I could find here on amazon as well as on Chinese websites that carries this combo quilling board that includes both the vertical pinhole grid and the horizontal slotted grid below is Juya. It usually appears on the handle of quilling combs from China that there is a horizontal grid. With this combo, it worked better for me. When compared to other brands, this feature is only available on pinhole grids with a 2 mm diameter pin The pinholes and pins on this board are thinner (a bit more than a 1 mm diameter). A large number of holes in an arched area of the grid are close to each other, so this is an advantage. But the total area and number of holes are pretty much the same as other brands (only the diameter is a little bit smaller This one, as described, has a total of 30 stainless steel pins (including two copper pins to anchor the beginning end of your quilling paper) as opposed to the 20 that are on the other one. Various brands are available (which only provide a pinhole grid) which come with only 20 pins (including one copper slotted As the pins
from one manufacturer to another may differ in diameter if you are planning to purchase 2 quilling boards to allow glue on a paper to dry on one board while immediately quilling on another, it would be best if you purchased them from the same brand. The quilled pieces may or may not change in height or width due to this change. As the needle spins the quills, the pins keep them I liked the presentation of this item since it came wrapped in a tidy slim white box with a few photos on the back illustrating what you can do with the board. This would be a nice touch to include in a gift package. Invest some extra money to get quilling boards that have pin storage compartments integrated into the boards. This one fits the bill. There's no point in putting off the work. In regards to the price, I see it as a bit steep. Instead of $8-$12, I would prefer $24. It would be better if these items just cost $5 each instead of $9. 95 It would be nice if they came up with a much longer pinhole grid (i. e. A wider board), one is able to make.
If you do a lot of comb quilling, I highly recommend this board since it comes with two slots in which you can place the paper, which quilling combs don't have. Furthermore, you can easily lay out your designs with this board. The quilling paper I buy from Juya is available in many different colors and sizes. As far as quilling supplies are concerned, this is the only company that I will trust. Several of them are high-quality The product was of high quality, fairly priced, and delivered on schedule. Juya, thanks for your kind words!.
belong to this board and will do my best to help I AM DOING AMAZINGLY WELL WITH ALL COMPANIES ITEMS, BUT WISH THEY HAD A LARGER ONE I KNOW THEY HAVE TWO SMALL AND ONE LARGE THESE ARE LARGE BUT SINCE I HAVE EPILEPSY I DO NOT HAVE TO WISH I could find a bigger one instead of being stuck every day.
I found it one day and lost it the next! A new version of this is available (Editor's So now I have two kits! I found that split peg after I wrote this! but I was thrilled to get this one, because it has more pegs, including TWO split ones, as well as the extra tool. Several reviewers have noted that this board has significantly smaller diameter holes & its hole spacing is less than 2mm There is no way to mix sets if you have an old one because both sets have pegs. There are some very narrow pegs inside the board that are hard to deal with Everything is very close to each other. However, that is only beneficial if you are working with very narrow qulling strips or if you are willing to play with the strips to get narrow loop My only wish is to see some instructions on the board, as another reviewer pointed out. The vast majority of quilling books describe how to use the husking board, but I have never seen how the parallel grooves are used. Printed on the packaging is a picture of the product It might be fun to set up a fan page - This is what it looks like (glue all the parallel groove papers to a strip, gather the opposite, loose ends together, and Put them together with glue. Basically, it makes a fan that has a flat top). If I had been given instructions, I would have found out what else you can do with the device - I am not great at figuring things out, so I regret not getting these. However, I'm sure that there are some on the internet It's still the best to get quilling supplies from Juya!.
I think it would be easier to use this than straight pins on corkboard for a beginner.
This is constructed well and no matter how shaky your hands are, it still works beautifully. My favorite Juya product is the Juya shirt.
I just wanted to let you know how big this is. I like how durable it is and how smooth and strong the pins are. Due to its small size, you may not be able to work with it if you have large hands, are clumsy, or have trouble with glue on your hands because I do.
I have ordered all my Quilling products from them, and I am satisfied with the products as well as the supplier. It is a great learning experience to make Quilling projects from their products, which are shipped promptly and of great quality.
