Carbon paper is a type of paper that is used to produce carbon dioxide. When pressing down on, be careful because it will leave marks that are difficult to remove.
This isn't tattoo transfer paper, so don't get your hopes up. I don't think the ink would transfer to skin, and even if it did, it wouldn't be skin-safe.
It only takes 100 sheets of black carbon paper to complete the task.
The paper is unlikely to dissolve in water unless it is submerged for an extended period of time, but the carbon backing may dissolve. If a package of carbon paper is found in flood waters, the best course of action is to discard it; it is not that expensive, and if it were, why would someone put it in the water in the first place?

Make fun of me. I'm old, so In the days before typewriters, I had to rely on carbon paper. So I decided to see how much carbon paper could cost these days. After experiencing sticker shock at a major art supply store, I went to an office supply store. It appears that carbon paper is now priced similarly to buggy whips and high-button shoes. That's a word for insane. I only needed about 5 sheets, but I decided to buy this item because it will last me a few years and won't break the bank.
I ordered this to trace designs onto paper and then color them in with markers and other materials; I also need the ability to erase the transfer. Although the description claims that it is easily erasable, this is not the case unless you intend to wear a hole in the paper. Not a good idea.
I'm not sure how to rate this paper because I'm not sure how to rate it. It's fantastic for the primary purpose of transferring a photograph to paper. I only used a smidgeon of my pencil over the tracing paper, and voila, it was bright and full of strong lines. For me, the biggest disadvantage was that I prefer a very light trace and the ability to erase as I go. And, to my surprise, I couldn't get even the tiniest traced sketches out of my head. As a result, trace light, and WELL. as a result of the fact that you are bound to it.
This carbon paper appeals to me greatly. So much so that I've placed a second order. It has a coating on the transfer side that does not easily rub off when touched. As a result, the designs I transfer for wood burning don't leave any extra marks. It's also easy to erase from wood. I've tried other brands and those with more sheets, but they've all been cheap and left a lot of stray marks and haze, not to mention the fact that they don't erase.
br>br>I frequently sketch my design on printer paper before beginning a painting. I even start with images I've printed from the Internet in some cases. br>br>After that, I transfer the image to the canvas or board (or whatever surface I'll be painting on). This carbon paper is excellent. br>br> br>br>If you're going to use it for that type of work, make sure to brush off any excess carbon from the canvas/support, especially if you're using water-based paint. The carbon can liquify and tint the color you apply over it if you use water-based media (markers, watercolors, acrylic paints). br>br>Aside from that, everything about this carbon paper has been flawless. I recommend it to other artists, and the low price makes it a cost-effective alternative to old-fashioned recording equipment. On the back of the paper, there is a rubbing from school.
It's so easy to use and understand. Perfect!! Except where I was writing, it had no impact on the canvas. In my canvas arsenal, this is a fantastic tool to have.
It's thick enough to reuse and larger than standard paper size, making it ideal for cutting odd shapes for a variety of projects. Because of the high quality and quantity I ordered, I won't have to buy this product for a long time!.
This is possibly the cleanest and most user-friendly carbon paper I've ever encountered. Because this is a waxy paper, erasing is difficult, and I wouldn't recommend using it for art projects like drawing and painting because it will be difficult to clean up and the wax may bloom to the surface. However, it works well for pattern transfers and would likely work well for wood burning and other art mediums that aren't affected by the paper's difficulty in erasing.
