It will undoubtedly adhere to the printed htv, as the adhesive is extremely strong. This product cannot use the printable htv because it is too light.
It's for patterned vinyl, but it'll also work on permanent.
You'd use this in the same way that you'd use ordinary transfer tape. You peel the backing off, stick it to your patterned vinyl or permanent vinyl, and transfer it. It's the best I've come across so far.
The Grid can be found on the back of the backing. The transfer tape is transparent in appearance.

Because this was my first time using this product, I was nervous and a little skeptical at first. The transfer tape stuck to my designs well and allowed me to remove them quickly. When I used the Nenah 3G inkjet printable HTV at 350F, the transfer tape did not melt or leave any residue on my substrate. I used a medium pressure press for 5 to 6 seconds and was able to peel the transfer tape away from the HTV and fabric with no problems, followed by the full 30 second press required by the Nenah 3G product, which I will definitely purchase again. I am overjoyed!.
This item is fantastic! It's a game changer, for sure! 100% strong recommendation! br>I did as another reviewer suggested! For 30 seconds, the Printable Vinyl must be heated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. br>I heat the tape for 10 seconds at 350F before using it to transfer the image - the transfer tape should be removed - & Continue for another 30 seconds on the image. Even after being heated three times at 350F/10s each time, the transfer tape can be reused for at least three more uses. br>br>Update: br>We've tried increasing the transfer tape's time and it's helped a lot. There are more than the tens previously mentioned. It can withstand the pressure for the entire 30 minutes of the press cycle without shriveling or melting. br>br>We've also used this tape for sublimation transfers - it works great. We'd used up all of our blue heat tape - This is a fantastic solution. The image does not move and can withstand a temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 seconds.
As a new HTV Masking tape, I experimented with it. THE HTV DOESN'T PRODUCE IT. This is something you should not buy. Half of my shipment never arrived, and the company claimed it had been delivered when it wasn't, resulting in the destruction of 50" of HTV. Make sure you don't throw your money away.
I bought it because I had some sticky vinyl on hand and was used to vinyl with heat transfer paper already attached. I was a little hesitant to buy because of some of the reviews (being new to this), but I went ahead and did so, and it worked perfectly! It's something I'm glad I bought.

I'm not going to buy it again if I can't get it dialed in. It's just a lot of effort for a product that should be ready to use right away.
