The problem is. It is a matter of perception I purchased this tracing paper because of the reviews, expecting it to behave like normal home-made paper We used tracing paper in high school centuries ago for our economics classes. A variety of sheets are contained in the package- The colors are different and vibrant. A green color, a yellow color, a red color. There is a paper backing on one side, and a very waxy surface on the other. You can run your finger over a candle like that. The intent was to use these in conjunction with freestyle embroidery on a denim jacket to transfer hand-drawn motifs. Suddenly, I'm not so sure I'll continue. My plan was to test a sample trace using a scrap of cotton dishcloth. My first step was to sketch out a flower and trace it on the fabric. The trace appeared clear as a bell everything was fine. Next, the question arose as to exactly how washable and removable it was Rinse with water To the outside- My next step was to go over to the sink to see if it was possible. I'm not sure. It was really hard to dissolve, even with the addition of soap. The images had to be scrubbed a bit to be removed. In light of my desire not to scrub my finished project quite so vigorously, I am now nervous about how easily the tracing will come out and if it will remain visible. It was further compounded by the fact that all instructions on the bag were written in Chinese, IMHO. Because of this, I was unable to even determine what I might have done right. It is neither right nor wrong Trying to figure out what's wrong with my test isn't helpful. As a result, I will not use it for this project. Though I won't toss it in the trash, I will not buy.
I like the way the lines come out. For me, this product didn't wash out. This is the reason why I only gave it 3 stars. It is 100% cotton fabric and I used red as the primary color. After washing the item in cold water, I dried it under the sun. Faded lines are about 1/3 of the way to 1/2 of the way. Thus, if you have a fabric with a light surface or if your fabric is as light as you can make it, you probably shouldn't.
Patterns can be transferred to fabric easily with this product. On a bust dart, I only have one complaint it took 3 washes to get rid of the lines visible.
The markings are not washed out when using this paper with water. Another type of transfer medium works by disintegrating after application of water. Water does not affect the color of this material.
Japanese is the only language used in the instructions. The back of the shirt displays the words "MADE IN CHINA". My friend from China got the instructions from me. When I asked her what language was spoken, she answered me. What I expected wasn't what I got. * After using the product I changed it to a higher In this way, it is possible to transfer a sewing pattern to a wheel. As far as washing it out goes, I'm not sure yet. To be determined. My conclusion isn't rocket science since it's not rocket science.
I really like it. I've been enjoying using it in a craft I've been doing. Water makes it come off, which I find to be amazing. My canvas is traced with this and then I use it. After the project is complete, I can wash off the remnants of the blue (or red) using a little bit of water. A piece of tape can be easily removed. My favorite thing about it is that it comes in a variety of colors, so I can pick the one that best matches.
I love using colored transfer paper to design my own stuff. Having trouble finding transfer paper for hand designs seems to be getting more difficult with each passing year. The package that arrived so quickly surprised me so much. There has never been a better packaging than this. As opposed to my previous packages, this one is made of cellophane rather than paper. Packaging like this preserves the pristine condition of the paper. I recommend this product not only because of its great quality but also for its excellent packaging.
We will be able to use these many, many times over. Whenever I transfer it, it does so easily and clearly.
