The paper has the appearance of parchment. However, it feels heavier to the touch and is very attractive; I used it to print my parents' 50th wedding anniversary announcements, and they turned out beautifully. They received a lot of positive feedback. If you're a finicky eater, this is the place to go. This isn't what I'm talking about.
Fifty. I double-checked the listing to make sure it was correct, and it was. There are fifty sheets in the package.
I made my own scrolls with it. It's about twice as thick and firm as regular printing paper. Having said that, I was able to print it on my EPSON XP-100 printer. I've used the 640 printer several times at home and have never had any issues. If you're using it as a missive/scroll, it's a joy to hold and unroll. I hope this has been of assistance.
It has been written on with both a fountain pen and a roller ball pen without bleeding. I'm not sure if using a quill would help.

The weight of the paper appears to be solely for the purpose of amusement. It's 22 on my copier paper, but it's 60 here. It should be nearly three times as heavy, based on simple logic. It wasn't card weight, as stated in the description, but something in the middle. That isn't the case at all. This paper is as thin as regular copier paper. Paper weights are determined by uncut size, which requires a master's degree or a lot of experience to comprehend. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here with 60 sheets of paper that, while not card weight, I did expect to be heavier than copier paper at the very least, leaving me disappointed and with paper that is too thin for its intended purpose. It's a nice piece of paper, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.
I was slightly disappointed when I first opened it. To be perfectly honest, it looks like slightly colored computer paper, and it doesn't look all that 'aged. ' I got the paper to fill my book of shadows, so it has to hold up to a quill and ink. I was concerned about the paper's lack of thickness, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I didn't hold back; I pressed down hard with my quill and loaded it with ink like I was going to use it for more than a test run. My quill usually catches on most papers, but it glided across this one. When I flipped the paper over to see how badly it bled, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it bled no more than a regular pen would on regular lined paper. Yes, I can see that something was written on the other side of the page, but I can't tell what it was, and the impressions or ink from the front of the page don't interfere with any writing I might do on the back. It's not bad for the price, and I'll buy it again because I need a lot of paper for my project; however, I'm taking a star off because I'll have to age this paper a little longer, and it's not as thick as I expected. Overall, it's worth buying again because it holds up to the materials I'll be using it with (my quill and ink).
I needed to distress them, and the paper was extremely sturdy, so it worked out perfectly!.
So, there are some things I can't have because of my overactive imagination, and this is one of them. On a practical level, I use this paper for spellcasting as well as writing prayers on it and sowing them into the gris gris bags I make. But in my mind, I'm writing the Dead Sea Scrolls while dressed in a monk's robe and sitting in the dark with only a candle for light. Isn't that what the whole point was? In any case, good paper and a good product overall.
The ream will be used. This parchment is acceptable, but it feels lighter in the hand than it appears in the photo. It doesn't smudge, but it could use a little more texture; I'd been looking for genuine parchment and had no choice but to use this in a pinch. This paper does not stand up to a quill, and I am a big fan of quills. To use this, I had to switch pens, and I'm hoping it'll suffice. I'll use the ream, but I'm not going to buy any more.
This is a fantastic paper. We're in the midst of a Renaissance. This paper was used for our invitations, which had a nautical theme. To keep with the theme, we rolled them up and sealed them in wax. They have the appearance of old parchment and are slightly thicker than regular printer paper, but they went through the printer just fine; I liked that I could print them because it sped up the process.
" The paper is fine, but it does not appear to have been "aged. " It resembles yellowed computer paper more than anything else. My daughter required aged paper for a school project, which was fine if you only required regular paper, but we required more. With the help of coffee and the oven, we further aged this already yellow paper.
In terms of imitation parchment, this paper is exactly what I was looking for. It is heavier and thicker than high-quality printer paper, but unlike some, it does not jam or bleed. It has a slight sheen to it, and the coloring is vibrant without detracting from the print's quality.
