This sketchbook back cover is made from thick paperboard, similar to one you would find on a sketchpad. There is a thick glossy paper on the front. A plastic bag is not to be found. It is very easy to remove the pages so you can draw on whatever you like. You can just as easily go back to the previous page. It is for this reason that I only buy "In & Out" The pads on the outside.
My impression is that they are big.
This is the first time since my college days that I have used my Prismacolor pencils. Since I only use pens, I haven't used anything else. While the tooth is very smooth, there is a moderate amount of tooth that you can feel. It will behave similarly to any other Grumbacher Mixed Media paper. My favorite part of the notebook is that you can remove the pages, research with them comfortably, and put them back when you are done so that they remain As I understand it, the tooth should hold the medium, but the blend would be easy due to the surface's surface area. There is not as much roughness in tooth as in

I believe that. This mix media sketchbook brand was recommended to me by a friend who's been looking for a reliable mix media sketch book for some time now. It puts all other mix media sketchbooks to shame! Additionally, the paper is so excellent (it even feels amazing), and it's thick enough that it could be used for almost any mix media outlet. Mix media paper can warp A LOT when wet, such as when using water color, but this stuff doesn't warp nearly as badly as some of the other brands I've used since I started using it. There is still a little warping (it does a little warp). I have never had any bleed through issues with alcohol markers (the media I use most often) as it is virtually nonexistent compared to some The company does have heavier watercolor paper, acrylic paper, India ink paper, and even heavier drawing paper. I haven't found it online, but I have found them at various stores around the country. One of the cool features of this book (and most of the books I've found) is that you can take it out and put it back in again. Perforations on the page make it possible to permanently remove it as well as snap it back into place. Additionally, on the inside of the cover is this cool graph that illustrates the different types of paper they have and what media is best for which type of paper. It is also pretty cool, which I think is really There's no doubt in my mind that this is now my favorite brand!.
The idea is good and I think I will enjoy it. But unfortunately, mine has something smeared on the cover and the last three metal rings that looks like light brown paint. Adding a stain to something I've paid for is really not acceptable to me. When I tried to remove it, it would not come off. You can also find it on page 1 on the bottom and on the left side. I have included an image of the biggest spot, but there are several smaller ones as well.
Using the spiral is a delight, and the ability to remove and replace the paper is a bonus. I am going to purchase more. I am very satisfied with the quality.
I am pleased to hear that someone was thinking about making a sketchbook where the pages not only come OUT easily, but were also easily inserted. It is a revolution to be thrown back into it with very little effort, and I love that. I like the high quality of the paper and the fact that it comes in a variety Using a 9 x 12 sketchbook is perfect for me. I purchased also the hardcover version because I am so happy with it. I strongly recommend this tool for traditional artists who pull their art from their sketchbooks for scanning or who simply like to rearrange their art everyday!.
A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for! It is made in the USA according to the sticker on the back. This is a product I would buy.
I enjoy my Grumbacher drawing pad very much. I like the texture of the fabric. The size allows for the ease of sketching a wide variety of subjects. I have ideas and finished projects. I am my own Grumbacher. The term stands for. The perfect solution.
As a gift for my niece, who is a budding artist, I got her this book. She likes that she can pull it out of her bag, draw or paint on it, and remove the pages to frame or show.
You wrote an excellent paper.
