This item is not for mailing. I expected it to be more substantial. I had hoped it would work for mailing boxes, but it doesn't. I can't blame them for not including specifications because they said it was 40 pages of paper. I blame myself for not realizing I needed something more substantial. Not exactly "industrial" or "heavy duty," in my opinion. The roll is easy to use and store. To keep it from unraveling, it comes in a plastic sock bag that can be reused many times.
5" width. Not 30". The product is 30 inches wide, as indicated by the label on the roll. However, as you can see, it doesn't even come close to meeting the 18" requirement.
This roll was purchased for my toddler to paint and decorate/make wrapping paper out of. It's not nearly as thick as the previous roll I was using (a different brand), and it rips easily if it gets wet. However, the roll is large and will last a long time; I've been mailing packages, and this is a great paper to use to wrap boxes and items that won't add a lot of weight. br>On one side, the surface is textured and matte, while on the other, it is smooth and "shiny. ".
This kraft paper is a good weight for wrapping gifts, not too bulky, and covers any identifying box information, as others have mentioned. I went with the 2400-foot roll because it was only a few dollars more expensive than the 1200-foot roll. If I had to buy it again, I would choose the 1200 foot roll because the larger roll is heavier and bulkier to handle. I also noticed that the price of the 1200 ft roll had dropped after I placed my order. I simply used colored ribbon to wrap my husband's birthday presents. It has a very appealing appearance. I also have several colors of twine, brown tags, and jute from Amazon that will look great with this brown kraft paper that I purchased before Christmas last year. (You might also want to get some black kraft paper. ).
These are suitable for projects in which no liquid material is likely to leak. I spilled some paint and resin material while using this for a project, and it soaked through the paper, damaging the surface beneath. If you're concerned about spills soaking through the paper, I'd recommend using a thicker paper or a different brand.
This one says 100% Recycled paper and I am not sure if it has always been that or not it has been that or not it has been that or not it has been that I use this to wrap my packages, and this time there are brown and white spots in it, making my elegant patches look like cheap kraft paper from a bathroom paper towel. That makes me very angry. The last four orders have been smoother, thicker, and much cleaner in appearance. Not happy.
It's worked well as a gift wrap and a temporary tablecloth for painting and other activities. oh, and don't even get me started on holiday dinners. I handwrote everyone's names and added some decoration with a sharpie, and it turned out beautifully. This is something I strongly advise you to purchase.
It's been useful for grandkids to color, finger paint, and do crafts over the years. When cleaning, use them as placemats to catch dirt and grime. br>The brown paper we used before was thicker and heavier. I'm not sure if it'll hold up to the rigors of various projects. br>I'm aware that there are rollers with sharp blades that can be used to cut to the desired length. Have you ever considered having a cutting-edge technology company? edge box (wax paper, plastic wrap, and other similar materials). There's no need for scissors; simply rip off what's required.
